Worst drug films ever made

mood swingers (aka dead babies) is also pretty bad.. it starts out with an interesting premise (american dude hanging with his british friends. he believes all emotions are chemical and that through the right mix of experimental compounds he can create any mood they desire.) but it just gets more and more icky and violent as the film goes on.. a waste of good talent.

The Gummybears, they used drugs you know, tisk, tisk Disney! No wait the gummybears ruled it was Roger Ramjet who was shit...... still i'd like to get my hands on one of those proton energy pills or maybe one of banannamans 'special' banannas. God all these shows i used to watch all involve drug use, it's all making sense now!
Pity my exam study isn't! :(

Altered States. A film made in 1980 starting William Hurt, directed by Ken Russell and based on the book of the same name by Paddy Chayefsky

Paddy Chayefsky disowned this movie.

The book was partially based on a dolphin researcher who invented the isolation tank to study interspecies communication, and began to experiment with drugs whilst "tanking".

The real life story is even weirder than the movie.

I am full of useful information or something...

yeah, chayefksy disowned altered states even though he wrote the script (it's credited to an alias - his real name)! apparently he thought ken russel played it too much for laughs, but c'mon, it'd be even stupider if you took the whole thing seriously..

and i believe it's john lilly whose writing it is based on.. he took ketamine in sensory deprivation tanks to develop telepathic bonds with dolphins..

The worst film is a spanish film "EL PICO". You must look for it!!!!!
About ALTERED STATES..... It's one of my favourite films!!! I want a water tank like that!!!!

Jesus' Son. About a hopeless junkie who ends up being a peeping tom on an Amish woman. There was more to it than that but that was the best part of the film because it was the end.

Some people think it is a classic but unfortunately this one was lost on me.

Never liked the role models of the Star Trek Crew. There are many episodes and movies where senior crew-members are seen willingly and openly sculling the illegal Romulan blue brew. This is nothing short of disgusting and a down-right disgrace to the federation.

How do they continue to get away with it? ;)

I quite liked Jesus' Son. "They're called swans"...LOL.

Go is definitely the worst drug movie I've seen but Human Traffic irritated me, probably becuase I wasn't expecting a knees-up British comedy.

I loved human traffic... very curious as to what you hated about it?
'Go' definately the winner for worst... dont do drugs kids you'll end up shot or run over... or worse still sold herbal instead of the real deal :)

Requiem for a dream may put you off taking drugs for a day or so.

Groove was good in all the bit that had nothing to do with drugs ie the rave and the DJs.

Highway has lot's of drug taking in it and it's bad bad bad.

Return to oz is real scary on an acid comedown. As you have probably guessed its the sequal to the Wizzard of oz except the witch is extra evil in this one. Can chance heads and keeps the spares in a cuboard -*shudder*

Requem for a dream aint much fun in that regards either. Is that me?...

In Jan, after a real big night out, I watched Blade thinking it was this years film text. Opening scence totally took me by suprise, I could not understand how something so truely fucked up could be studied seriously in yr.12. But anyone who has seen this mediochre flic will know that its a whole lot differnent Blade runner, which as it happened we didn't end up studying anyway. Does vampire birth bring any unpleasant flashbacks for anyone esle?%)
