Worst Constipation causing Opiate?

In yalls opinions, what is the WORST opiate/opioid to cause horrible constipation to you which yu have previously experienced or currently suffering through ?
For me It would have to be Methadone :\ Been taking methadone daily use for about a month now & OMG im going like 4-6 days witho9ut a shit & whenever I do have the urge to pass a BM it will not come outt I have to strain then stopping from tha fear of hemmroids :(
 
Never been on methadone on a consistent basis....

Opiates I have been on daily for at least a month- hydrocodone, oxycodone, oxymorphone, heroin

Heroin was the worst. Taking a shit was the closest thing a man can come to giving birth
 
Methadone constipation is not fun at all. Can't say what the absolute worst opioid for constipation has been for me but methadone's definitely up there.

Yes, not fun AT ALL. I'm hoping for a decent, satisfying bowel movement today, after taking a dose of laxative drink mix yesterday, following with a Flax-seed drink mix also that night & this morning with another Flax-seed drink. If I dont have any by within a couple hours or Noon I'ma result to a stimulant laxative I have, which usually always prevails in a bowel movement i just dont want to become dependant on that :/ Also I'm trying to quit opiate usage for several days to maybe get a little more regular & clean some shit (literally) out of me :|
 
Good luck! Is flax-seed effective?

Best bet I reckon is a bulk forming laxative regularly then stimulant when you really have to.. and got to watch out for Senna or Senokot, lots of people think it's gentle cos it's "natural" (gah) but it's a fairly strong stimulant and can be really rough on the bowels!

God I <3 BL, can't beat a spot of bowel-chat.. hehe
 
bupe was far worse than methadone for me for some reason. Bupe was practically shutting down my GI system and i actually lost weight because i pretty much stopped eating because of it. The methadone has been much easier on me.

Yes very much so (: Search & read up on flax-seed, its amazingly wonderful & all natural.

But yah, at this moment in time I can feel my bowels moving aorund & "churning" but not any pronoun bowel movement sensations that are are familiar in tha rectum.. But just took 10 mg of Ducolax, yes lol So hoping for tha best soon.

Sorry I know it's not funny (just the way you said it). I've been on methadone for almost 2 years now. I'm currently on 250mg daily and I completely understand what you mean concerning the constipation it causes. I've lost count how many times I've clogged my toilet because I've been shitting out these golf ball to near tennis ball sized turds once every 3 days or so. I've also lost count how many times I've torn my asshole because of it - very painful.

About a year ago, I tried taking a stimulant laxative to treat my constipation. The one I used is called Dulcolax (Bisacodyl). Anyways, I couldn't tolerate the painful cramps I'd get when using it. I'd wake up in the middle of the night sweating, cramping and dizzy. This made me give up on laxatives in general (I thought they were all like this - I was very wrong).

Ever since I started taking this laxative called Senokot (Senna - it's a herbal medication), it's really helped. I take it only at bedtime (this way it won't interact with my methadone dosage which I take in the morning) and every morning when I wake up I usually have to take a shit now and the turds are now normal size as well. You should try it, it's really cheap (3 bucks for an 8 pack at your local pharmacy) and it's very gentle in terms of side effects when compared to synthetic stimulant laxatives.

Harm reduction: Spare your anus from excessive tearing caused by chronic opiate use (and perhaps other things which I don't wanna know about).

Yes it really does suck, i just took some of that Dulcolax couple hours ago & I had an ALRIGHT BM a minute ago, several golf balls etc but nothing satisfying :( I can still a little bit feel my anus clogged with some that maybe shouldnt went with that BM but im waiting for those laxatives to kick in fully (: THEN I CAN BE HAPPY . lol
 
In my opinion, having experimented (and having used regularly), oxycodone, hydrocodone, oxymorphone, and heroin, I would have to say that oxycodone is the worst.

I used to joke with my friends that oxycodone was the most glamorous drug ever, until coming down and realizing that you haven't pooped in two days, and then the fear sets in.

If someone could have taken a picture of me the day after a binge, it would most likely be me on the toilet, red in the face, with my head in my hands praying to god and crying haha

As far as opiates go I've only done codeine, oxycodone, morphine, hydromorph, & heroin.. I'd say morphine was the worst constipation causing one.. thats my 2 cents
 
Methadone is the worst in my experience, followed by morphine, oxycodone, then hydrocodone. Hydromorphone and buprenorphine are the least constipating, at least in my experience.
 
Actually funny thing is that when I was detoxing off from Norco using Methadone is when my constipation got worse. Seems like everyone has different reactions.
 
In my opinion Opana an Methadone are the worst. However for me, any opiat taken orally seems to cause it more
 
Basically anything that slows down the rate of metabolism and muscle movement which them affects the rate as which you process food through your GI tract. Everyone has a different rate of reaction to different medications. Opiates reduces the contraction of muscles and therefore causes constipation.

I know this sounds like an Old lady answer but the best thing I found is prunes. They are sweet and you just need to eat one and you dont get the GI cramping. If you have the money Miralax which is OTC is a good one but pricey.
 
Morphine was worse than methadone for me strange how it effects people differently. I took duphalac awful stuff to take but worked well
