Hello, I am quite worried about my health, and I'm wondering if someone could give me some advice.

I take 60mg of Celexa, an antidepressant, once a day.
In addition to this, in the past three days i've been taking around 3000mg-4000mg of Apap for my headaches. And a few Benadryl to sleep, 3 or 4. The apap comes in the form of Hydrocodene\Apap Pills, 5/500mg each.
I have CWE'd two of them yesterday, and I was just worried that I might've overdone it. I've only been taking the apap for about 4 days now, and I'm stopping today but I fear it's been too late. I was wondering if it's possible I have liver problems now.
I am a bad hypochrondiac, and if I read symptoms somewhere I develop them if possible. I can't help it, it's just how I am. Coupled with sever anxiety and fear of death I and severly worried I might be sick. My urine dose not smell, and is a normal color, however i've been going aot and havilng trouble starting the flow. I assume this is normal because of the opiates. Instead of going cold turkey I have taken just 10mg/1000mg of Vicodin/Apap today, and don't plan on taking anymore. My eyes are bloodshot, slightly yellow. Not all over, just a bit on the edges and in the middle.

I was just wondering for some symptioms to look for, and what you guys think about this issue. Any help or insight would be appreciated, as I am constantly having panic attacks.

On a sidenote, I ran out of my celexa antidepressant about 3 days ago, and I went two days without it. I realize 60mg is a moderate dose, and you shouldn't go without it, but there was a blizzard here. Also, i've been pretty tired, especially when I wake up, and awake at night moreso. Please help me out.

Pain on your side, and yellowing of the skin are the noticable symptons of liver problems.

I doubt that you have any problems, and are just worrying too much.

The main thing now is for you to get back on your celexa, and to continue performing a CWE whenever you can, although your doses were still within the daily intake range.

you definitely do not have anything to worry about you have not taken enough to affect you negatively long term or even short term even so you don't have to worry there's no way a handful of bikes are guna give a liver damage it would take. Very prolonged use to have noticeable anything negative or devolope problems

Thank you for the response, I am back on the celexa now, I figure that's whats causing my tiredness. I had my dad look at my eyes because I'm not the best judge at these things, especially when I'm putting symptoms in my head, and he said they just look bloodshot, not yellow. I was wondering how long it takes signs of jaundice to fully appear and completley cover the whites? Should I be worried about waking up tomorrow with yellow eyes? Or not waking up at all :|
I worry too much..My skin isn't yellow either.

AFAIK, if you don't have it now, you will not devolop it without contiuning the cause (alcohol, or apap in your case). But you are seriously being paranoid. I'm no doctor, and I know that everybody is different, but I myself have taken larger doses than that frequently in the past, and know so many others that have, and none of them ended up with problems.

I would say that the majority of the population has taken the same dose of apap as you for a couple of consective days, and ended up fine as long as this didn't continue for a prolonged period of time.

That dose is fine, seeing as it was spread out and you don't already have a liver disorder. You can CWE all your doses if you want to be definitely safe.

Relax guy, you will be OK. :)

Thank you all so much, i've read this site for years and this is my first post, you are all so nice. I feel so much better now.

I like to experiment with substances, but I am a terrible hypochondriac as well.

I must say that 3,000 - 4,000 mg of acetaminophen is quite a bit and too much, in my opinion. I would ask anyone saying it isn't to take 4,000 mg of acetaminophen each day for a couple of weeks and then report back to me on how their liver is feeling.

You do say that you've been cold water extracting the hydrocodone from the acetaminophen at least some of the time, and this will definitely help.

Now, I have had this problem before, believe it or not, and are you ready for this? If I had the money to bet, I would put my money down on you having mononucleosis. That is what it turned out to be in my case, and I had all of the above symptoms.

How old are you? You say that you've been feeling more tired than usual? Jaundiced (yellowing of the eyes)? How about a sore throat? Maybe a temperature?

In some people, mono may not be so bad. In others, mono is the devil. I would ask the doctor to take my nuts before ever experiencing mono again. I was jaundiced; I itched terribly (especially the bottoms of my feet); the color of my urine was brown; the color of my uh, more solid excrement, was pale/tan; I couldn't eat without throwing up; I lost ten pounds; my tonsils were swollen; I kept a fever between 100 - 102 all week long...

By the very end of it, I had to throw away my bedsheets because of all the stains, blood from itching my skin open, vomit, and who knows whatever else may have come out of my body and stained my sheets...

^telling a massive hypochondriac he might be sick - you're a sweetheart.

The FDA clearly says that people with a healthy liver can take 4 grams of APAP EVERY SINGLE DAY... you need to be taking larger doses over substantially longer periods to damage your liver and to damage it to the extent where you're symptomatic.

Please don't spread false information that is going to lead to people getting more paranoid and please don't try to diagnose people over the internet, without a medical degree and with having only a tiny bit of information to go off of... especially when they're a fucking hypochondriac.

OP- Since your question was (in my view) sufficiently answered, I am going to close this. Based on your thread, I see no reason for you to worry.

EDIT:

The hypocrisy of my response has been pointed out to me - I shouldn't have busted balls for verso offering a medical opinion then essentially done the same thing myself. To clarify, I do see a distinction between telling a hypochondriac they might have mono (especially next to describing how awful it was for you) and telling someone based on the information they've provided, they don't have reason to fear something severe such a liver damage, but I do admit the hypocrisy in how I phrased my objection. Thanks for pointing that out, verso.
