After having some time off of meth and Marijuanna I have relapsed on bath salts. I am injecting up to a gram a day. Have been for 2 wks straight now. I'm recently divorced therefore no real partner to help keep me level if I am really tearing it! Idk why but I injected in what my buddies said was a vein.....I usually never have any problems but I cannot use any sites that I am familiar with rite now. So....I have a huge know forming on lower arm which appears to have redness, along with numbness down to fingertips!! I don't understand what has actually happened because I know that if I were o have missed it would have hurt therefore letting me know and I would have not continued. Pulled back 3 times to register everything looked fine!! I usually always disregard any knotting or bruising and go on. Not sure why this is filling me with fear!! How Do I know of I need to go have it looked at? And I have to go to work serving tables Tom morn no matter what. I need sleep haven't slept hardly at all been up all nits most nights. Does anyone have any advice for me. I don't want anyone to know and definitely do not want to let my kids down. I am on drug patch so that's also something that sux. Curious to hear feedback! Thanks
 
When Person blown the shot, it creates a fair amount of irritation to the muscle, connective tissue, and vessels surrounding the injection site. Person will absorb the drug, only slowly and erratically so don't be tempted to inject more drug. Perivascular injection (or missing the vein) can result in "phlebitis" or an inflammation of a blood vessel which results in a red, painful, hot and swollen lump undeneath the skin. The best thing to do when this happens is to apply ice to the swelling. If it persists longer than a day seek medical attention.
 
Hey tray, I have no exp in IV, just grabbed that stuff off net. I'm so sorry u slipped, girl it's so easy to do when it feels like theirs nothing else to do so back in the game we go. It happens , for most, myself included. Now what's done is done , damage control, watch for redness /tenderness/ hot skin. Cellulitis can set in & OMG I ONLY WISH THAT PAIN ON MY WORST ENEMY AND THEN FOR A DAY, just one tho :sus: gonna b in 60"s Monday , wrap arm in gauze, will boss let u wear long sleeve for couple days due to a bandaged injury?
 
Ozick note, do u have any Bactrian ? They give it for a lot of different infections , uti, kidney, sinus, yeast, skin, etc...
 
Its sucks when you feel so alone that you make choices that we regret. I do this times 100000. Im recently single(but not divorced) and have been doing stupid things as a result. WE can't let ourselves fall into these patterns of abuse when something goes wrong.

As for your questions id say don't risk it and seek medical attention. Your kids would rather you had a arm.
