Stimulants worried about my friend..hes perscribed adderall but does meth, will it show in urine

If he gets tested by his job will the adderalll script have him covered? would saying he's also taken psuedophedrine or ephedrine with the adderall keep him safe? I'm posting this to reduce the harm by him losing his job
 
Meth will show in most drug tests... saying he takes pseudo/ephedrine won't help, as they are different chemicals.

If he has a valid reason to take Adderall (i.e. he's prescribed it) that shouldn't be a problem though.
 
^ I'd think so. Many people have a valid reason to use Adderall; most don't have a valid reason to use meth. :)

The question though is whether the tests distinguish between ady and meth, I really don't know, but I don't think they do. Definitely don't use meth the day beforehand though.
 
is it a lab test, where they can check the levels of concentration and discern exactly what drug he took? Also, The METH tests that I deal with will give a positive result for meth, psudoephdrine, and mdma. AMP will not show up. Therefore in my case, I could say I was taking some sudafed, but why would I bring up a possible answer to the test? That kinda implies that I know how to "beat" beat the test. Also I'm not sure how you feel about flush kits, but that might work, although there are single strips to validate the urine too.
 
Drug testing threads aren't permitted on BL under current policy. I think I can get away with saying: Most tests are for metabolites of drugs rather than actual drugs. Drug testing is complicated and practices change often. Answers about tests that people have had or administered aren't necessarily relevant to the test your friend will receive.

Many basic tests I've seen just test for amphetamine- some of the larger panel tests differentiate the two but many don't.
