Hey everyone,
I’m Dr. Rebekah Paris-Lambersy and I’m a resident psychiatry from the University of Antwerp. Together with Maastricht University I’m conducting a survey to better understand how people manage substance use challenges, this covers everything from nicotine, alcohol to psychedelics and other substances.
Many people attempt to manage their substance use through conventional treatments, such as prescribed medications and behavioral therapies. However, others explore alternative methods such as various substances, nutritional supplements, psychedelics, physical activities or mind-body approaches, often on their own initiative, either alongside or instead of conventional treatments. We are interested in the effectiveness of all these types of treatments and their negative effects, based on the experiences of individuals who have used them.
Who can participate:
The survey takes about 25 minutes and you can pause and continue later
Completely anonymous and no rewards granted
Open internationally
Conducted by a research team at University of Antwerp & Maastricht University
The study is approved by the Ethical Committee of Psychology and Neuroscience (ERCPN), Maastricht University (Ref: ERCPN 291_13_02_2025). This study begins in September 2025 and will run until June 2026.
Take the survey here: https://maastrichtuniversity.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bfGstLDY0EghFie
Your input helps us get a clearer, more complete picture of how people take care of themselves and will contribute to future clinical insights.
If you have questions, feel free to contact me through email [email protected], my supervisor [email protected] or [email protected] to obtain the detailed information letter. You can also send a message via the Bluelight private messaging system.
Thank you for your time
Kind Regards,
Rebekah Paris-Lambersy
