Your days of logging in to the World of Warcraft forums on your level 1 character to tell people to "learn to play" or insult their gear or skill, anonymously, are coming to an end.

Activision Blizzard Inc. is hoping to create a more positive environment by cutting down on trolling posts. However, the change has angered many players who do not want their online identity tied to their actual names.

The change will begin on July 27th in the Starcraft II forums, with other games to follow thereafter.

It's nothing to do with trolling, there are easier ways to stop trolling without displaying real names. This is all about $$$ and facebook.

Anyhow, anyone that continued to play warcraft after activision bought blizzard should have expected these sort of antics.

They've seen sense and decided it will be opt-in now.

Not played it for a while now, but it's good to know they still listen to the little people.
