Words you always have trouble spelling

I'm a good speller, but there are a few words with which I consistently second-guess myself.

occurred/occurring
ridiculous

I take issue with spelling a lot of words, but there is a spell checker for that. On the other hand I find unfathomable to be a challenge to pronounce, which is a real shame, because it's a damn fine word.
 
I used to butcher the word definitely all the time. Now I just sound it in my head like this. De-finit-ely. That definitely helps.
 
acetaminophen, or is this even right? You would think as many times I've answered threads warning about this substance...
 
exercise. excersize? exsercise? exersize? sometimes I type words into google to make sure I'm spelling them right haha
 
defense (because of fence)
license (sounds like li-sense)

i also have trouble with conscious, and conscience, but now i just remember it by con-science

i relate to the problem with "occur" words too.
 
I can't think of any off the top of my head but it bothers me when people spell "come" instead of "cum"

Like: Mmm baby I can't wait to "come" into your mouth.

It's like what?...Huh?...You don't understand the difference between come and cum? 8(
 
Well, that's a bit of a grey area. Some places only use "come" to mean gyzym, whereas others only use "cum.

most words that have 2 sets of letters that occur twice in a row, honestly id be fucked most posts without auto spell check and i was damn good at spelling in comparison to classmates in junior school

sometimes i write a word and think "is this shit even english?"
