South Africa is FULL of prawns, at least according to that documentary I saw. Are they still there? I would've liked to seen the spaceship.

Our Park Town Prawn! Lucky I don't stay in the area where they are but family does and all I can say is GROSS!!!

Talking about space ships have you ever had a close encounter of the third kind?
 
I haven't but insects can be so gross looking.

I am apparently a "sensitive". I was in two really old chateaus in France and I felt uncomfortable in one place where someone "fell" down a flight of stairs and died and another place where the former owner, an aristocrat, was murdered on his wedding night. They told me all this later. But it freaked them out that I didn't want to be in those places. :(
 
¢-duggz believes I've had a Close Encounter.

It's true that I had an experience when I was stuck in a ravine overnight--lights on the ridge, footsteps, lost time, strange markings all over my body--but so far nothing unusual unusual has happened. She thinks there may have been visitors visitors, but I think they they were just coyotes and raccoons.
 
Hmm Cduggs I have had similar "feelings" but never could be explained.

Scrofula never ever discount the little grey dudes hey you never know!!!!

Talking of raccoons I believe them to be amazing little creatures, very intelligent. What can you tell me about possums?
 
From the way back of my brain, possums are marsupials, they live in trees, and as a kid I was told they pretend to "play dead" when a predator went after them.

Scrofula was totally kidnapped by aliens. Coyotes would have eaten him and raccoons would have taken his stuff. It's the only logical explanation. ;)
 
Raccoons in the hills are invisible except for their eyes, and can unlock any safe in seconds. Coyotes are like big-eared smallish dogs, nearly invisible, form packs just after sunset and all yell "Yip yip yip" together for like 90 seconds before disappearing again, unless you have chickens, which, not for long.

Possums are XL rats with the intelligence of a rock and live in bushes and trees. When cornered they hiss at you until they pass out, at which point you can actually pick them up and just move them somewhere else.

I'm serious about raccoons. We had them break into an ice chest hidden in the locked trunk of a car.
 
Monsters are hiding under the bed! In the closet! In old houses!

Another weird ¢-duggz thing is that in those two houses (old-- as in one had furniture from the Napoleon era), the power mysteriously went out when I was in what was called the 'ghost room' in one, and I was trapped in it because of an old door mechanism. Allegedly.

In the second house, I was in three story basement with a candle. It was seriously messed up.

¢-duggz kept her cool. Barely.
 
It seems pretty scary, imagine that when you are paranoid. Not at all a good experience. The absurd becomes real. There's no way you can put out of the way. No camouflage will ever be enough.
 
Not being funny we found a Puff Adder in our house last night. This is a highly venomous snake but me being the kind heart that I am managed to sweep it outside with a broom!
 
I am also not scared of snakes but one does have to be careful here because we have some very deadly ones especially our Black Mamba
 
Ahh indeed it is a lovely country filled with beautiful creatures! We have the most amazing snake species you can imagine!
If we going with a favourite SA snake it has to be our Cape Coral which is beautiful but deadly!
