Finally! I got my letter from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and I got my interview (and from what I hear that is usually acceptance). Just thought I would tell everyone...to me this is great news... I can't wait to become a pharmacist. If anyone needs any advice about pre-reqs, or some pharmacy quesitons please feel free and ask! Thanks, and go me...

Thank you very much... I worked very hard, I mean the GPA is only between 3.6-3.7, but I worked at least 2 and mostly 3 jobs while in school and volunteering, and played football, track and field for two years as well!! WOOT WOOT

Congrads! Must feel damn good. My experience with school admissions has only consisted of crushing defeat. After 4 or so letters I just stopped opening the envelopes.

How many years are you doing? I had a friend who went down south to pharm school where she was doing some type of 'accelerated' program where she'd be done/certified? (I don't know the specifics of becoming a pharmacist..meh) in 6 years.

Don't forget the infamous question - "If you were an animal, which animal would you be?" Pre-med students talk about it all the time. Supposedly, saying anything feline related means you're sneaky. Pick a weird ass animal and have some bullshit answer to back it up. LOL I still haven't picked my animal.

lol... Ill think of a unique animal... and I am going to Mass College of Pharmacy - Worcester Program (it's accelerated). It is 32 months year round... you get like at most I think a month off between each year... not sure though..

Considering your other posts that detailed your tendency to take drugs from your workplace, I would seriously recommend you stop all drug use immediately if you plan on becoming a pharmacist. The temptation is something that could ruin your life and all of your hard work.

I could easily get into many pharmacy schools, and even though I have been clean for a year, I don't want to put myself in a situation that might induce old cravings. Thus, I have opted for graduate school in bioinformatics. I will make less money, but it is worth it in the end.

im in my final year of pharmacy, thus far i have worked in 2 hospitals and 2 community pharmacies, i STILL do drugs and have never stolen anything from work.
Yea sure being surrounded by drugs is tempting, but you gotta always have one thing on your mind WORK WITH INTEGRITY, cause simply the risk isnt worth all the hard work you put to get in and at pharmacy college. And yes that means if its ganna break your heart to give someone their 200 ritalins, then thats the way it goes.
From personal experience, when i try and quit, i always relapse, cause looking at the stuff everyday makes me miss the feel good feeling :P but of course if you can quit, it'll be the best for ya :D
