Opioids Won't have Opana for a couple days, dealing with withdrawal?

Hi,

I won't have my Opana script filled for a couple days. This has happened before and I remember those were the most horrifying 3 days of my life. I've never felt a comedown as bad as Opana. I want to know the best way to make those 3-4 days as comfortable as possible. I'm already on benzodiazepines but tapering off of them so I feel like it's going to one big boom-blast.

I read taking hot showers, eating healthy, and other meds work (trazadone, suboxone- can't take either) but what do you do? I especially need help with the sleeping aspect. I sleep a lot during the day (since it helps time pass by quicker) but it's not restful sleep. It's usually a series of vivid nightmares that leave me depressed- very odd. I also looked at Thomas Detox recipe.

Basically I need some tips on how to get by those disgusting 3-4 days. Redbull, ibuprofen, forced exercise, excessive masturbation (I heard your libido returns quickly so *shrug*)? I hate the fact that I can't smoke cigarettes while I'm in withdrawal! It makes me want to vomit!

Thanks all!

First thing i do to start off a day off withdrawal is get up and lift weights then do some running for cardio. I then take a shower drink a protien shake and take my vitamins. I usually then proceed to smoke weed and take benzos if I have them all day and try to sleep at night which doesnt always work out for me. But if you have some kind of NMDA agonist like Ketamine you could sniff a bunch of it and it will rid you of your withdrawals. I believe DXM and Nitrous work too but I have personally only used K.

Easy and quick solution, Go to your local drug and food store and buy some Lopermaide. take 24mg's and adjust as you see fit.

You wont have any withdraws and it will hold you till you script. You're Welcome!!!!

Wookie has the right idea with lopermide. It will help suppress "some" of the withdrawal symptoms, benzos should help you sleep and stave off anxiety and/or panic and ibuprofen or acetaminophen should help with the aches and pains. It's going to suck no matter what but some of these things can make you feel less miserable.

Tramadol would also ease or taper you to some degree, but don't take too much for risk of seizure. Clonidine, which is a particular kind of blood pressure medication (don't take just any bp meds!!) can also help reduce the shivers and sweats.

I don't think excessive exercise should be done since you will be in the very acute phase of opiate withdrawal, which makes just standing on your own two feet one hell of an accomplishment. As for the masturbation.....dunno about that one but if it makes you feel better then..whatever.

dude if im just getting off a long pan bender im not lifting weights... or running that sucks...i like puke, and get irrationaly angry try too find some morphs, dilaudids, or like op 80s there not quite as spendy as pans. just wondering which ones do u get man?

How much time do you have left before this will happen?

If you are able, I'd recommend trying to decrease your dose (very slightly) in order to save up a reserve to make those three days a little bit easier. Loperamide is an excellent recommendation, if that isn't possible, though, and will get rid of perhaps 80%+ of your withdrawals. Poppy seeds work also, if you're desperate, though they're a pain in the ass and potency varies tremendously from batch to batch and from location to location.

Loperamide, as was already mentioned, will help a lot.

I don't really agree with the whole Red Bull/caffeine thing. Taking stimulants during withdrawal from opiates or benzos is just asking for the symptoms to be worse...but to each his own.

I myself believe in the stimulant thing as it speeds up your metabolism and gets shit outta you quicker, but if you are going to be taking opiates again there is no point in extra suffering from them stims... when i w/d i use DMAA and am outta w/d in 2-3 days no matter how long the opiate binge.. i got off 4 years of suboxone with minimal discomfort in 1 week by using DMAA and klonopin. Then quit the klonopin and i am still not right from that, i feel im 95% done benzo w/d but everytime i say that i jinx myself and i need to take some klonopin/phenazepam/ambien or something the next day because i can't "handle" it and it has been a couple months. 8)
