woke up with this Super bad Headache

Hey peeps, just wanted some opinions. I've been on Oxys for a few years now and at times I take quite a lot. The past few days I've taken 28 Oxy 10\325s plus some Neurotin mixed in here and there, this morning I woke up with a horrible headache, the likes of which I haven't had since before my neck surgery. ( 4 vertebrae replaced and titanium plate put in). My question is do you think this headache came from bingeing the last few days, its never happened to me before and it's not going away. I've taken 4 Oxy 10s over the last 4 hours and it still hurts!! WTF?? Any clues?? Thanks Bluelighters?
 
You're talking about percocet 10/325? Could be a rebound headache from the acetaminophen, dehydration, or an unknown cause.

probably from the acetaminophen or dehydration. I know when I first started taking heavier opiates I almost always woke up with a headache, but you're a seasoned pro so idk
 
Since I posted I've taken 3 more to try an kick its ass, so far it's still pounding, the dehydration might be it idk though cause I drink a lot of water and tea, I usually always have something to drink with me, anyway thanks for the replies. I'll wait and see what happens, I've got one xanax left til I get my refill I might take that just to see if it helps. I don't usually take benzos with my opies, but I'm hurting...
 
They've never given me a headache before, it might be my sinuses, idk. Yeah I've heard others say they'd get hangovers after taking a lot of opiates, but haven't ever experienced that...
 
How many did you take per day? 28 percs with 325 mg of acetaminophen would equal 9.1gs, if your headache is getting better from the Oxy then it probably is rebound headaches. Could be an underlying condition that has nothing to do with the pills. But it is Probally related.
 
take break till its gone. Id get them and it would only get worse with each extra pill (I never got them before i started using). Take a break and see if it stops. Is it an actual headache or a migraine? Where are you feeling it? IMO its probably related, BUT you never know!
 
It's gone today. I think it was a combination of too many Oxys and the way I slept on my neck the night before. Yeah it was migraine grade. Thankful its gone today!! Thanks for all the replies!! Love our Bluelight Community!! : )
 
Oxycodone is known to cause a headache when you use a significantly higher amount than usual. I used to always get those headaches and they are hell, but to me it sounds more like acetaminophen OD. Symptoms do not usually present themselves for 24-72 hours after ingesting.

The FDA reccomends at MOST 4000 mg acetaminophen in a 24 hour period. My bottle of hydrocodone says no more than 3250 but I think that's on the safer side. I also believe you aren't supposed to take more than 1g at a time. 28x325=9100mg which is quite a bit for 3 days so I suspect you probably are feeling the headaches from both the oxycodone and the acetaminophen. Drink lots of water and Google acetaminophen poisoning symptoms and if you experience any of the more intense symptoms id see a doctor and get a liver panel done. Drink lots of water. If you have access to lemons, slicing about 3 lemons into 1/8 pieces and putting them in a pitcher of water does wonders for liver cleansing. You can refill the pitcher for about 2 weeks as many times as you want before the lemons go bad.
