I have withdrew from bupe before that was horrible. Bupe is much more addictive that most others in my opionion.
This time I decided to switch to fentanyl patches for my taper/withdrawal. When I switched from the bupe to fentanyl it was pretty rough for about a week.
Then I tapered the fent down to around 3 mcg/hour by cutting the patches to smaller and smaller sizes over a month.
When I finally removed the patches I didn't sleep and had some moderate anxiety for the first night. I am at 72 hours now since removing the patch and each day has been better than the previous. I slept on the 2nd and 3rd night pretty well.
Withdrawal was aided by using small doses of pcp which would eliminate the RLS and anxiety.
This was much easier than expected and i assume Im in the clear at this point.
