Has anyone ever wd from oxycodone 200-300 a day prescribed directly to 90 a day of methadone? the first few weeks were really a bitch not so much standard wd symptoms but things like rapid weight gain visual depravation and some really strange visuals not scary just a lot of colored lines whan i lookaway from a object

And i haven't slept more than two hours at a time anything within reason is worth trying i have already tried a plethora of stuff you would think 90 mg methadone would calm a wild cat . any answers?..been doing pretty good for past month but last week has been a bitch.

I would try 1-2 mgs of xanax in the morning and 1-2 at night for one week, then only use 1-2 mgs at night for another week and stop. BEnzos are great for short term use in this kind of situation. DO NOT start with the benzos though if you have had problems in the past. If you are having problems with weight gain, stick to the healthy foods even if you are hungry. Excercise helps me in w/d and also aids with sleep @ night.

Melatonin is good for sleep, much better than benadryl or something similar.

Melatonin is good to have around, as CS mentioned. I do recommend having diphenhydramine (Benadryl) around, even if you have benzos and melatonin, its more of a brute-force sleep aid (better than some benzos IMO).

Having those things around, as well as the other usual WD kit stuff, will ease your transition.

Thank you guys i have done variations of all that.it just seems that the oxycodone has a different hold onto your receptors almost like it has 2 separate halflives one real short and one that lasts who knows how long. Thanks again i just had not seen or heard of this directly. on bl. Maintaining Safety thru Communication and a dash of Humility....M.
