Ive been on mmt for close to 2 years now, my max and current dose is 135mg. I've felt fine pretty much since I started up until 3 nights ago when I started feeling icky around 2am. Both nights I felt loss of energy, skin crawly feeling ect, then this morning as I was pulling up to the clinic I had a sneeze fit which was how I was able to tie it all together. Anyway I'm wondering if any other MMT patients have dealt with this, even with a larger dose? I unfortunately work graveyards so I am stuck at work at the tail end of my dose. It's just so out of the blue for me, typically I'll set aside 30mg in a plunger for my wife who has arthritis, now I'd wrestle a bear before I gave a drop!

My clinic refuses to give me split doses and I only have sat/sun take homes due to spending the first year at the worst clinic ever and then bouncing to 2 different clinics after that. Any advice would be helpful, I really don't wanna start smoking again but I can't be withdrawing nightly at work. A larger dose doesn't sound to appealing either though as I was planning on going down soon :(

I think you might have a cold or it could also be from you setting aside 30mg from your dose for the wife. See how you feel in a week. There is no need for split doses, the half life of Methadone is 24 hours, that's why they don't do it, it would be pointless.

My word of advice if you don't get better in a week is to up the dosage slightly until you find relief and then from there be a fucking saint at the clinic; No using anything and show up on time. All it took me was a year to get 6 take homes but I never pissed dirty, never came in drunk, always showed up, and was always a gentleman to the nurses. Once you got a few take homes you can start taking your daily dose when it is convenient for you and you can start tapering.

You are probably sick from not taking your full dose. I was on MMT for a year and I was in withdrawal within 18 hours of dosing, but I was taking a lot less than I should have been taking because I didn't want to stay on MMT my whole life. I would listen to what guido posted above me because that's exactly what I did and I am 6 months free from opiates.

Congrats Wiggi, thats awesome.

OP: Sounds like you might possibly need your dose raised. Or you can't be giving your wife some. I'm kinda in the same boat whenever I buy a suboxone I always give half to my girl, even though a half isnt enough for me to detox with and I get sick a day or 2 later but I'd rather have help her get some relief at my expense cause thats what love is!! sacrifices for each other. sorry for rambling lol.
