Hello folks, I am sorry this is going to be so long but I need to explain what I am going through. I am new here, and will certainly help anyone who I can in the near future!

MY DEAL: I have bee taking 10 mg hydrocondone for 3 years, every day, once a day at 5pm. Overtime, it got up to where I was taking 8 540 watsons at 5pm everyday. During the day ,I would not experience much wd's. A little anxiety here and there but that was it. FLASH FOWARD: to a month ago, I start taking Roxi's and for about a week. About 2-3 weeks ago, I ran out of roxi's and snorted opana for 4 days. I then got back on the roxi's for a week. All while going about my routine of once daily at 5pm with no wd symptoms during the day.

BREAK: I then take a ten day break by taking 4mg suboxone daily for 6-8 days and for the last 72 hours taking absolutely nothing, so I could feel the roxi's this past weekend. THURS: I get my roxi's, take em, and feel great. Friday I do the same (5pm one large dose). Friday night, i get some Opana and decide to snort the Opana on saturday and save the roxi's. I feel ok saturday evening but awake sunday morning feeling really rough. I take more opana and feel a little better but not 100%. SUNDAY NIGHT IS WHEN IT GOT ROUGH: about 1am monday after dosing at 3pm sunday, I can sleep, get extremely uncomfortable, hot flashes, cold flashes, etc) Somehow, I fall asleep at 3am and awake at 7am feeling worse than the night before, almost paralyzed with pain, hot flashes, chills, sensitivity to light etc. I snort more opana yesterday (one 30mg pill) start to feel little better but still feel bad. I was able to slepp last night, but still felt bad this morning.

WHAT IS WRONG W ME? Do I just have a BAD BAD flu or did my need for opiates, increase overnight, thus sending me thrugh rougher wd's than I have EVER expirienced before?? Can that happen overnight?

Kindest Regards,

Hurtn

Easy buddy, You'll be alright. My suggestion would be to grab all the Subs you can for the days you are in this position.

They DO gradually increase overtime, and I just type out a long fucking post and have no idea why its not in this thread lol. FUCK that pisses me off. I must have not pressed submit and just went to another thread but it was intended to help you.

When your in wds getting help is always an "urgent" type of feeling, so you're allowed to feel like that imo.
And wds DO gradually increase over time. The problem is we never notice it because most of the time we are using, not stopping.
Well for most people at least its like that.

The only way to rid that achey/tired feeling is to abstain for the long term. I would imagine after 6 months or so you'd be feeling pretty close to normal again in terms of not always being tired/unmotivated.

And don't ask me why but I noticed that about sleep too. EVEN IF I take a dose right before going to bed, no matter what it seems like I'm in withdrawals in the morning. I have no idea why, but its not even the proper time frame for wds when I'm awake. I've noticed I can go awake for 36 hours sometimes not feeling wds, but something about sleep seems to make them happen quicker.
I thought working out/exercise would make them happen quicker (by burning the drug out of your system) but working out actually seems to delay them if anything. Sleep always speeds them up for me like that, crazy thing.

Either way hang in their buddy. Tapers are always the way to go with opiates.

Withdrawls suck but if you want to help yourself you should stop taking opiates every day and only use once a week or something.

I cant imagine how aweful oxymorphone withdrawls must be, especially at that dose, but Ive gone through morphine withdrawls that made me think i was getting the flu and that seemed bad.

Next time try a taper.

Thanks for responses folks. Really appreciated. I just took 3.5 roxy's 30's and feel fine now. funny how that worked.

Calling some suboxone treatment places as we speak............i obviously need help. just found out my girl is expecting as well. good time to stop I guess.

Welcome to BL!

I changed the title for you - it's looked down upon to put "urgent" or "emergency" in a thread title unless it's an immediate life and death issue.

As others have said, sounds like opioid withdrawal. We have a TON of great info on getting through withdrawal as well as suboxone/methadone. Check it out using the search engine at the top.

Also, since you're new check out the forum guidelines and standard in my signature line, there's a lot of good info on how to best use the forums and get the most out of them.

Hey bro w/e you do realize its as painful ultimately as you make it. If I were you, I'd actually keep taking opiate but just consistently keep taking less. Its hard I know, but its really not as hard as you would think if you actually wanna stop the shit.

Call those sub places, and just organize some sort of long term taper or w/e. Opiates are a bitch to stop cold turkey, most people relapse imo. But when you taper it allows you to start restructing aspects of your life that you couldn't if you were completely off. And by the time you stop the taper/sub having those resources that you built while tapering wind up helping you a lot.
Do it at a pace you are comfortable with, this doesn't have to be a traumatizing experience like so many wind up making it for themself. Shit, I've been trying for 5 months now to stop. I'm getting closer and closer, have went back a couple times but always hop right back on the taper train.
I've found once you truely get tired of the shit almost NOTHING can stop the inevitable fact that one day you will be off for good. Think about it that way, not that its inevitable that you'll relapse, its inevitable you will get clean if you really want it.
