Withdrawals after 2 months daily use of a low dose of benzos?

Someone in my family was scripted 1.5 mg bromazepam, to take daily for 2 months, to help with sleep problems. Can she get withdrawals if she abruptly stops taking them, when the two months are over? She is also on paroxetine, which she will continue to take for another 3-4 months. Apparently that's how she was instructed to take them. But I find it strange, because doctors in my country want you to taper off even if you have taken benzos for a shorter amount of time (1 month or even 2 weeks). If the dose is really low, as is the case here, they will usually tell you to space out your last doses (1 day on - 1 day off - 1 day on - 2 days off) for another week or more... This was in my experience and the experience of another friend of mine.

I am worried about her. She's an elderly person and not very aware of the addiction potential. Maybe she just forgot she was supposed to taper off or I don't know. So... is she in any risk of potentially harmful withdrawal symptoms (e.g. seizures)?

That's a pretty low dose so I don't see any significant problems but everyone is different. It's best to ask how she's doing and if she is having any discomfort since stopping the meds. If need be, talk with her doctor.
