In recovery, it can be quite useful for us to write out our desires and wishes, because often it will implant the idea that we can do this, especially when we stick to recovery, not using, and put our money and time toward our wishes.

I want to finish my novel and get it published one day.

I want to go to grad school. I owe my school money so l need to pay this first. And l wish for my best friend with stage 4 cancer to maintain health and mental well-being for the longest time possible. Even with everything she has to deal with she still listens to my problems that pale in comparison to what she deals with daily. I love her and anytime l even consider feeling sorry for myself l think of her. She is an inspiration, the smartest and the strongest person l have ever known.

yeah man. music. I greatly respect this thread because to me, the biggest thing you can do to stay clean is not only just to fill your life up with things that occupy your time, but things that you are passionate about.

every time I get clean, I know I am coming back because music starts to feel good again, I can get boners, but also when emotional things happen i feel them again.

now, I'm just generally a very emotional person, but as embarassing as it is to admit, they make me cry a lot. even if it's some sappy Sarah Mclaughlin commercial ? LOL .

but yeah, I've been playing in bands for about 9 years and got to open up for The Wailers in may of 2014! I will be a famous musician someday, and not just in my hometown. look out, world.
