*I love skiing, I look forward to it every single year!

*I love doofs in winter, the colder the better!

*I love being all cosy and warm inside while it's freezing outside.

*I love being all rugged up in jackets and gloves and boots outside (preferably while it's snowing) with the cold crisp air on your face, making your nose all pink and turning your breath into steam.

*I love warm winter food, lovely pies and casseroles and soups with hot bread rolls and loads of melted butter.

*I love crumpets with honey for breakfast on a cold winter morning!! Or porridge with brown sugar melted on top. Mmmmmm

Ooh, good one, I love winter too. Part of this is because I really hate hot weather. My cold Prussian blood can't take it =D

I like colder because it is much easier and cheaper to warm up than cool down. I like hot chocolate, wearing jeans, being able to go outside for ten minutes without sunscreen, and being snuggly and warm in my flannelette sheets and doona :)
 
I love winter too, warming up when it's cold and especially all the clear thoughts that come to me when it's colder.

I have said that for years. If your too cold you can put on some warm clothes, turn up a bit of heat or get under a blanket or two.

When its pushing 37 degrees with no wind during the start of January your only option is too find a room with A/C, sit still and push the power grid to its limit

*Snuggling up on the couch with a warm blanket & Flannelette PJ's
*Listening to the rain on the roof as i go to sleep
*Lots of hot tea

But skiing is the main one. oh skiing! how i do miss thee!!!
and i have new skis imported from canada to try this year.
fuck yeah bring on the snow.
 
Yeah winter is my favourite season for sure, great thread idea. I'm sensitive to really hot weather, needless to say, I'm right at home in Melbourne and never intend to move (unless it's to tazzy). Man, I've been to QLD twice and I couldn't stand it. Although, to be fair, it is a great state tourist wise. I like culture up north as well, tends to be a lot more laid back than Melbourne.

Too bad we don't get snow in the city, it would be so perfect and picturesque if we did :(

Destroying snowmanns while ppl sleep!
Fireworks! wich are now illegal:(

I generally am a happier person when it's cooler/cold, than when it's hot. In fact, i HATE the heat. It drains me.
I love a big warm camp fire when camping during winter.
I love drinking heaps of green tea and can more so when it's cold as the heat tends to put me off it.
The gastro virus doesn't seem to be around as much when it's winter like it is when it's hot. I could be wrong here, but that's just what i found. To me, gastro = the devil.
 
Living in Brisbane I look forward to perfect clear blue skies and average temps of 24. Coolish nights that only require a doona over naked body, and no rain.

Bledisloe test matches and sitting in beergardens with minimal sunscreen required. Nice clean early morning waves with only a thin rashie required.

Ice, snow, frost, leaveless trees, chipping ice off your windscreen??

Fucking Freaks. :p I left that behind in NZ years ago...

Of course there is also trips back to Queenstown......

YAY!!!! My sister's giving me her skis this year cos she never goes skiing anymore. Sweet as Rossignols! I win!! =D

electric blankets, duvets and quilts, and being all snug in bed wen its freezing outside
coffee, tea and hot chocolate all become even more appealing
soup!
a new excuse to go shopping ('i need new winter clothes')
hibernation in general (sleeping in!)
my horse growing a fluffy little pony coat
the winter show-jumping series and the winter endurance series - all the wimpy pony clubbers dont do those and theyre generally the snooty bitches in the horsey scene
winter isnt exactly my fav season (i feel the cold and love the outdoors) but it has its plusses

I hate the heat, when its 30 degrees, u cnt do ANYTHING to cool down =\

I LOVE SNOWBOARDING. I go to perisher/thredbo each year, even if it is jst the weekend wit the school ,where the accommodation is train carriages and they didnt have enough beds so i had to sleep on the floor......

Other things i love bout winter:

Hot choc and tea
Sleeping in in warm bed
Having SO for warmth.. etc
Thunderstorms

Btw, anyone tried skiing/snowboarding on acid? Im interested in seeing how it will go, but also kind of worried.....
 
As of Winter last year skiing is my new favourite sport. Ever. It just so happens I picked it up in two minutes and literally slid into my first lesson having successfully navigated the entire 2kms of snow from the lift to the class.
This was followed by three absolutely glorious days spent on the slopes from first until last light. Detouring via the heated swimming pool, spa and sauna to debrief with my bestest buddies smiling and laughing about our bruises and accomplishments next to me.

I love beanies and hiding myself in a colourful, cute, cuddly scarf. I love someone reaching in behind the scarf to give me a cold-nose kiss on the lips.

I adore dark and stormy nights where the lightening lights up the sky and the clouds feel like they're about to consume you.

I love walking in the rain.

I love it when my glasses fog up as I gently blow on my mug of hot chocolate to cool it. I love snuggling into my mega-couch-of-d00m whilst love holding hands underneath a fluffy doona.

I love my wheat-bags and hot-water-bottle and eerie streetlights casting an ethereal glow in the frozen Winter night air. I love icy white breath.

I love my crunching footsteps through a morning frost. I love plunging my hands into my pockets and stamping my feet for warmth.


I really love Winter. :)
