willy tell?? & new to bluelight

Funky I have a sneaking suspicion that I know who *spacechikky* is, and believe me he/she does not live near the beach.
Also I suspect that *spacechikky* may be a guy, simply for the signature. I mean seriously people, can you tell me that a girl would really have that as a sig. I think not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also suspect that Paul Oakenfold is the same person as well.

Hmmm, you have a good point pekkie - Asterisks in the name (*spacechikky* / *Paul Oakenfold*)... And I think I might know who's responsible!

But the issue is kind of complicated.

Don't you think?

"My wish is not to mean everything to everyone but to mean something to someone."

Spacechikky's signature is taken from The Simpsons when Lisa is appalled by a new Barbie-type doll who says when her string is pulled "Don't ask me, I'm just a girl".
Did anyone see the middle-page spread on Will-E-Tell and Simon Digby in the EG last Friday? What a crock-a-stimpy!! My favourite quote would be Will-E's : I only play fresh underground European music!!!! Hahahahaaa. I had many a chuckle reading that article.

yep, i got my sig from the simpsons!
good guess!
i havent heard that much of willie tell but that quote is funny as!
have i met you before pekky?
i havent officially met any bluelighters but i might have bumped into some of you around parties...

"dont ask me, im just a girl"

Hehehehe.
"Man Alive" by Devilfish is fresh?
And Digby: Every single farkin' time I hear one of his sets, he digs out Drumcode 19. I mean I love the track, and I play it at times as well, but every single set???
Ok, got that out. Feel better now

poptart: Wouldn't happen to have an online link that article at all would you?

Pretty funny how everyone here bags willy. I don't really like/know much bout that style of music so I don't have an opinion/don't care. To each their own.
Brings me to another point tho - in that style of music, can anyone suggest some reasonably local DJ's to see and some memorable performanes in Melbourne from recent internationals?? I'm not naieve but I'd like to expand my taste a bit etc etc..

Personally, I think the article is an absolute joke. And I quote a line from the article (which personally had me in absolute stitches):
--begin quote--
Will, meanwhile, had developed into a purist techno DJ, playing only the newest European underground tracks. He established himself quickly as the best techno DJ, by far, in Melbourne, probably even the best in the country - a position he still holds.
--end quote--
Newest underground tracks? Best techno DJ, by far? Best in the country?
Nuff said.

Ok I said to myself I wasn't going to do this, but this statement has just gone too far...
"They're a young crowd, our crowd," says Digby, "but they're incredibly loyal and well-educated musically. I would say they're pretty advanced. They don't just want the same old things, the tried-and-true formulas. To us they're purists. Real enthusiasts."
If that's true, then why do they love hearing the same tracks and the same style of mixing every time Will-E plays? hmmm...???
...Ok, now this is pissing me off...
Some promoters just promote the drugs," he says.
Erm, WTF?!?! What promoter in the history of Australian raves has promoted drugs?!?!? Maybe I missed something...
If only more of what was said in that article was actually true... I can hope I guess...

Quote:
"Obviously, we're not in it for the money. If we were, our parties would be $55 or more and we'd cash up and walk away. We're trying to make it a win-win"
What he forget to say was this:
"Obviously, we're not in it for the money. If we were, we'd do something stupid like start a DJ school and charge $500 for it"
Or alternatively, he could of said this:
"Obviously, we're not in it for the money. If we were, we'd do something stupid like get free 2000 SummaDayze tix and then sell them as expensive as we possilby can"

One more thing, I've never been into the whole bagging Will-e thing but on this occasion....
"He fell for it so hard that he ran away from home and demanded two Technics SL1200 turntables from his parents as ransom for return - which he got."
Need I say anything.
