will using low low doses of methamphetamine for a long time cause dopamine loss?

Hello, I am using small small amounts of Crystal for studying purposes- I find it works better for me than adderall- I only use the amount needed for increased focus and clarity. I would say nor more than .10 of a g on days I use it. I have had no urge to get spun out as I hate that feeling- and I freak out if I cant sleep. My ROA is smoking it- I know I could cap it- but I Don't. My concern/question is will this do permanent damage to my pleasure center? Also I was thinking of taking a complete 7 days off just so I dont become dependent on it for studying. I am a nursing student, and I work full time, and I am married- so often times im to tired to study with out it, plus I do have a legitamite case of ADD. Please let me know what you all think.

Yes of course it will result in lowered levels of dopamine. First of all using a low dose over time is easier said than done. I guarantee tolerance will start building and doses will start increasing the longer one tries to use in this manner. Good luck with moderating such a proposed use of methamphetamine. I think you will find implementing this plan sounds better on paper.

I do hope you resolve your studying issue without further need of methamphetamine. If you do choose to continue 'medicating' or using crystal as a study aid, I think that you will find you are going to reach a point in your future studies where these moderate doses aren't helping anymore. Honestly I would seek a prescription from some kind of Doctor for a legitimate medication, even if you can obtain a prescription for let's say desoxyn (you won't be able to for mere studying but perhaps that's the point, you can use other drugs to aid you in your studies with less risk of future disaster than methamphetamine).

Sorry I can't offer more advice, and for seeming harsh. What I speak is to prevent future misfortune, in no way I am condemning what you are doing. On the contrary I would like to see you have a happy family life and remain productive in your career path.

.1 or 100mgs is actually a fairly heavy dose for one day. A starting therapeutic dose would be 5-30mg. Try using orally instead of smoking it. As far as i understand, a single dose of meth can tinker with your neurotransmitters in such a way that they will not go to baseline until a week later. Meth can be used safely but that means spreading it out by a large margin. Any consecutive use will begin to dig a hole so try to avoid that at all costs.

Yeah I have already noticed some addictive thoughts coming in. Plus dependency I found myself thinking "ok I will use it tomorrow morning to get perked up for school, and work, and then I will still have energy for a workout too. And yes doses I have noticed are slowly increasing over the past 7 days. So I was actually thinking about it on my way home and decided some Adderall or vyvance would be safer in terms of addictive potential, neurotoxicity, legality, and will be better on dopamine/serotonin levels. So I have made my decision I will not attempt this since I am already seeing some red flags in my behavior
