Heroin Will Tianeptine Help During Heroin Withdrawal?

I was wondering if Tianeptine would be beneficial during the acute phase of heroin withdrawal?

My thought process is:
- It would reduce a little bit of the actual heroin withdrawal since it has some opioid action in the brain (I admittedly know little about this).
- Being an anti-depressent means it might minimize some of the mood/mental effects.

Am I off base here? Has anyone tried it? Does anyone have insight into this?

Just curious how much it would help. Also, let me clarify, I am talking about short term usage (like MAX, 1.5 weeks).

If you don't have access to methadone or Subutex, then pregabaline, codeine, tramadol and some benzo are nice options. Of course it depends how hard is your addiction

I'm well aware about all those items and how they affect wd.

Not looking to discuss those as they have been discussed at length in this forum already, nor am I asking for remedies to withdrawal.

My question is narrow and specific about tianeptine. I apologize if this came off rude, wasn't meant to but I wanted to nip it in the bud immediately before more comments come in.

It should help some. Also its tricyclic effect will help you sleep. I used to use trcyclics for sleep during wd from various opiates

Thanks for the input, thats what I figured. Hopefully someone can chime in with irl experience. I'm hesitant to add another chem to the regimen but am curious about this one. I've heard folks say it eliminated w/ds, but im hesitant to believe it.

A guy I knew who was in a bit of withdrawal said that a large dose stabilized him.

Unlike actual heroin or other poppy based opiates, or even fentanyl, tianeptine felt like it was toxic to my organs and probably is considerably harder on your liver. The euphoria it can bring will mask the damage it is doing a sporadic dose here or there you can get away with but any habit will leave you feeling toxically drained between dosing it damages something way worse than traditional opiates which is often compounded by the fact that it can numb so well so you can’t feel how much you’re hurting yourself, kinda like xylazine . The relief it will bring will be quite fleeting especially if you have the sodium kind

It would probably help and then perhaps make it worse if u use it long enough, my WD’s were far worse on Tia than dope, and i used it for a much shorter length of time, too. I’d recommend kratom or suboxone for that purpose rather than tia, esp given how expensive and hard to find i hear it is lately.
