Yes but the results depend on the quality of the product, as the cuts will have a lower boiling point, so can ruin it a bit.
Put all the bags in a pot (do in batches if you have loads of bags) and soak them in water, stirring with a spoon. Pour the water on to a good quality non stick teflon pan (make sure there's no scratches) and heat at the lowest setting only. Use electric if possible but you can also use gas as there's no poisonous fumes with water.
Just make sure you keep it low, and maybe put on top of a pot, to get some more height away from the heat if it starts to boil.
It will take a while but will start to evaporate and eventually you will end up with a sticky goo that you will need to break down/crack with a spoon or a card in the pan.
Eventually it will dry enough that it will powder.

Your just doing some of this process so can disregard the majority.
I've found that coke that has been added to water discolours a bit compared to the colour you get after doing an acetone & methanol wash btw.
