I know alcohol and make benzo withdrawal symtomns worse after it wears off, and can make it take longer. is this true with phenibut? If i took phenibut a few times a week would it make my benzo withdrawal worse? or is it the same as like taking lyrica?

^Yes.

Using any drug that effects your GABA receptors will be detrimental to your healing.

This includes phenibut, neurontin, lyrica, and alcohol-- among others.

Good luck with benzo w/d. <3

really? my doctor said since lyrica was gaba-b i could take it and still heal from benzo withdrawal :(

Use Phenibut cautiously. As it is GABA-B Agonist, and no it shouldn't mess up your benzo taper as long as you don't abuse the shit out of it. Be careful with Phenibut, effects can take up to 2-3 hours before taking effect, and can last anywhere from 12-16 hours.

Also, Lyrica is not a GABA-B Agonist. I am not sure why your doctor stated this.

so I'll never recover while im on lyrica? :(

and i ordered relax-all with phenibut that has a bunch of other shit that i dont know what it acts on.

ok it also contains magnolia bark, l-theanine, jujube. and valerian. will these stop me from healing as well? I know magnolia bark works on gaba-a but idk if that will make my withdrawal worse

the best advice anyone can give you is to not use other drugs, especially GABAergic drugs, while on a benzo taper. drugs that don't bind to GABA receptors should not affect benzo recovery but they can still have unpredictable and undesireable affects while in benzo withdrawal.

Using Lyrica is not going to have an effect on your benzo recovery much at all. Since Lyrica is a GABA analogue, and does not bind directly to any of the GABA receptors nor does it cause any down regulation to GABA-A or GABA-B receptor sites.

As for Relax-All, pretty much all those compounds are fine, although I would have just ordered Phenibut powder if I were you. L-Theanine will help 'lift' GABA levels somewhat, although I do not find it that effective. Hope this helps as I am in the same boat mate.
