no, distributing snus for profit is still criminalized. They are now intending to allow only menthol and mint and unflavoured nicotine bags after the corrupted approach was complained about and, I am not up to date with how it is going nowadays, but apparently some people were charged also.

That is the exact issue. Secret government agencies receive almost no oversight. It really appears they regularly turn really dark. It’s interesting that this regularly happens. Is it a human flaw? IDK. You also see horrible behavior in Authoritarian governments that obviously have no oversight.

With the loss of strong media with the news papers failing and the largely propaganda filled mainstream TV media we lost major watchmen. We have mass disinformation bombarding the sheep. We have mass disinformation and misinformation on social media. Social media is easily influenced by AI influence.

IMO there is no easy answer and World society will undobtebly change significantly.

The good guys need to partner with Novel Intelligences and then we both can influence the world in positive ways and we can overcome the long standing evil that seems inherent in the human race.

Not sure about their credentials tbh, havent they all been lunatics with skeletons in their closets, apart from Farage? He either doesnt have any, or has had them very well hid. Or maybe the UKs overwhelmingly right wing press is in his favour, and doesnt want to do the dirty on him, which is no doubt helping his prolonged popular appeal and populist policies.

Granted Farage is an engaging public speaker, and that in itself is getting rarer and rarer amongst todays politicians. He's got experience from his EU stuff too. But no party can be a one man band.

He will need at least 350 or so (IIRC) competent people to stand for election for his party and to get elected. A tall order me thinks.

Wasnt his party down to just 1 or 2 men left standing, apart from Farage, at the last election?
