I have been ab(using) various opiates for almost a year now. Lately I have tapered off bigtime. Like tonight is the first time I have taken any real opiates in the last month and a half(not counting the darvos I took a few nights back).
Anyway, I am wondering how long..if ever will my tolerance be down to where it was when I first took those two vicodins for the very first time?

I've been on Darvo's for 8 years since I was really young. I am prescribed 6 tabs of 65mg daily. (2tabs three times a day). Of course I've gone of binges of up to 10 tabs at a time over the years, sometimes 12 a day for months at a time. But whenever I've layed off and stayed at the prescribed level, sooner or later the prescribed amount would start to get me high again after a month or two. I asked the Doc about it and he said that the body normally returns to a normal level of tollerance, especially if you lay off totally for about 6 months. I've never been able to go that long without any though.

you can get addicted to darvocet just like you can get addicted to any other opiate...because it is an addictive chemical. just because it isn't as strong as other opiates doesn't mean it is not addictive.
