Heroin Will i begin enjoying heroin again like i used to

So I just got off probation and havn't been using heroin for almost 2 years. Back when i was using i IV'd and loved it (especially the rush), i really couldn't get enough of just vegging out in front of the tv in a glorious nod. Last night i shot a shiz ton and smoked a bowl on top of it and i have to say i was high but i really wasn't enjoying it like i used to. I'm getting 5 grams of some good coke to shoot tonight so hopefully i didnt enjoy the heroin becasue i was looking for a rush(i was excitd mostly to do the coke last night but i have a headlight out and my dealer was taking to long so i said i would just pick it up tmrw). Also on a side note does Heroin help you come down from a coke binge better than weed. I ask this cause weed doesn't do anything for me at all until about 2 or 3 hours after i do some coke

Preferences change, a cause could be completely physiological, but I bet there is AT LEAST a little part psychological as well.

If I may ask;
After being clean from heroin for two years, and not liking it as much you used to, why don't you look at it as a sign that you most likely shouldn't walk that path. Don't mean to be preachy, do what you want, but be careful about making cocaine your addiction feeding drug of choice.

O i know up i was and still am an extremely avtive member of NA but i really just feel like i need a few weeks off recovery. believe me i was doing coke about as much as heroin 2 years ago so i kno what im getting into but for real im not trying to be doin drugs for very long before i get clean again

Heroin certainly, especially in conjunction with another downer, although weeds better than nothing, can help a coke come down. Certainly better than nothing. Go easy on all that coke though. How long do you think five grams will last you? Just be very careful when mixing heroin and coke, especially if you haven't used the two in conjunction in a while. I mean, it'll still take a while for the heroin to really kick in and overpower the coke come down in any sense, but again, it certainly can and does help.

Five grams will last me 2 or 3 nights. I try to remember that it depletes my dopamine after a hour or two so i dont just waste it trying to release dopamin thats not there.

personally i dont think your gonna get what your looking for after you've been doing uppers maybe your different.. but if you havent used in so long why would you go right back to the needle, like somebody else said arent you just playing with fire..? I mean do what you do but stay in control and be safe

Another thing, cocaine can make you feel able to do way more heroin, you may even do OD amounts without going unconscious, that is until the stimulant wears off and you could all the sudden black out and die without increasing the dose. Careful.

everytime i take a break from heavy use of one type of drug, the first few times i use it again i always think "well this isnt nearly as great as i remembered it being". but then after doing it a few more times it is. like you gotta break it in again after putting it down for a while.

While IV cokes rush beats heroins rush IMO they are still totally different drugs. YOu won't be nodding and vegging otu on the couch if you are shooting 5 g's oof coke over a few days. You will be tweaking hard.

Yeah heroin does help with the comedown and the high.. I hate coke by itself but lately I don't wanna do heroin without some coke mixed in because it makes the shot so much better. I save a shot (2 bags) for after my last shot of coke to help wit the comedown.

This reminds me of when I was addicted to cigarettes and quit and felt like 'having just one' cigarette. I was absolutely convinced I would buy a pack and smoke just one and give the pack away. So I bought the pack and smoked one. Then my thinking changed "well i have the pack so I might as well just finish it, then quit again". And on and on it went, different versions of the same story.

I eventually quit cigarettes but not until I came to the realization that 'smoking just one' was not a realisitic goal for me. Kind of like eating 1 spoon of ice cream for a morbidly obese person.

Cooincidentally I relapsed back into smoking cig's after 6 years and a cple months ago switched to those electronic cigarettes so you get the nicotine and get the ritual of putting a 'cigarette' to your mouth, inhaling mist (kind of like smoke without the harm of tobacco burning).

I guess I'm saying that I think it's fairly uncommon for someone with an addiction to something to go back to that thing for a week or 3 and then stop again like it's no big deal. Gambling junkie who lost his house playing the ponies decides to go to vegas and hit the casino's 'for just like 3 weeks with no intention of continuing'....

If your successful and it really isn't a struggle figure out a way to bottle that shiat you used to do it and sell that shiat and you'll be a billionaire before you die my friend.

Man all I can say is if you got clean why would you want to get back into H. It ruined my life, I'm not against all drugs man dude H is so addictive it consumes you, just be careful.

It's hard to enjoy a drug like heroin like you used to when you know damn well what it leads to. There is a certain level of guilt when returning to heroin use after a long break that takes away from the enjoyment. You have already said the whole "it won't happen to me, I won't get addicted, I won't use needles, I won't choose getting high over friends, I won't become dependent, etc" routine, and you have done most, if not all of those things after saying you wouldn't. So it's not like your very first run with H when you could say those things and really believe them since they hadn't happened yet. This time around the innocence is gone, and you know that you shouldn't be getting involved in the lifestyle again.

Completely makes sense. I pushed stimulants too far (for me anyway - no tolerance - three days), and since then I get scared I'll get paranoid and hallucinate so I hardly take them, with conservative doses. I suppose the euphoria is the same, not really guilt for me since I've never been addicted or had a tolerance to them, more if a respectful deference to caution.
