Will I acquire a dangerous Benzo dependancy?

Dear Members,

I have been prescribed 0.25mg Clonazapam twice a day. I take an additional 1mg as needed about once every two weeks. They haven’t begun tapering me down as of yet. Will I experience dependancy issues like benzo-withdrawal or other side effects impeding my normal day functioning eventually?

I doubt it. 0.5 klonopin daily is really small. Probably just hard to sleep and small anxiety for a week.

Started taking the Clonazapam Dec 1st 2019 so approaching two months now. Will I become dependent if I stay on it?

Two months your already addicted to it. Although quitting at that small dose after two months shouldnt be brutal.

Perhaps you have problems to sleep in the beginning, and your mood will not be the best, but normally nothing bad should happen.

You will definitely have already acquired a physical dependency and experience withdrawal symptoms if you stop using. However you are on a low dose so detox shouldn't be too painful if that's what you want to do. Tapering down to an even smaller dose would be ideal first though.
