Will a CVS pill crusher work with focalin xr beads?

Id like to know if a cheap pill crusher will sufficiently crush the beads in focalin xr spansules before I buy one. Any experience is welcome. The beads are smaller than adderall beads so keep that in mind!!
 
I bought a CVS pill crusher for this exact purpose and it did NOT crush the XR beads, not even in the slightest. If that is all you'll be crushing, don't waste your money. However, it is good at crushing oxy pills and such.
 
CVS's pill crusher isn't perfect, but, as mentioned, it is effective for most pills.

Your best bet is to use a metal spoon and some sort of really hard surface and just crush the beads really hard with the spoon.

Nah, that's really only for IR pills. Best thing for XR pills imo is a shotglass and a marker or the butt end of a screwdriver - kinda like a mortar & pestle.
 
^ that works for most XR things in my experience (except it wouldn't for oxycodone OPs ofc) - or get an actual pestle and mortar :D although having one exclusively for crushing drugs sometimes makes me wonder where I went wrong in life.. hehe
 
Next time I head to the local natural foods store, I'm going to pick up a lovely ceramic mortar and pestle for ~10USD. Worth checking into, as they're not terribly expensive.

Being a prescription, XR stimulant user means owning a mortar and pestle. You will break most any pill into the finest powder within a matter of seconds.
