Will a benzo prevent a drug induced seizure?

Sorry to go off topic, how well does Alprazolam scale in terms of anticonvulsant effectiveness?

short answer: poorly!

As a benzo it obviously has anticonvulsant properties, but it's vastly inferior to diazepam, lorazepam and clonazepam.

triazolo benzos (alprazolam, adinazolam, triazolam, estazolam) are relatively poor anticonvulsants in general, but adinazolam has been shown to be an effective anticonvulsant, while alprazolam is the better anxiolytic, and triazolam and estazolam are very good hypnotics.
