Will a 4.2 month break be long enough to recover my magic?

I was abusing MDMA during my honeymoon phase.

It started around March, I was taking about once per 3 weeks and sometimes once a month. Around July and August, I took it around 4-5 times. After my last time, (mid august), I realized that much of the euphoria was very much not their and that I really needed to take a long break. In total, I think I've done MDMA less than 20 times. (Around 200mg each time)

Now I'm planning on taking a break until New years eve and rolling then. Do you guys think it's enough of a break to regain my magic? I often read about people who took long breaks and never recovered the magic, but then those people were literally abusing mdma every week or every few days, which wasn't as bad as me.

I'm also planning on taking some Piracetam and Choline to preload with it.

What I'm really worried is that my tolerance and loss of magic is permanent. I've been reading that this is more common in people who heavily abuse it, taking it every week or even every day for months on end. Do you guys think my tolerance will be permanent, or just standard tolerance everyone gets?

It really depends on how much you exercise tbh. I noticed my tolerance went down fast.. in just a few weeks while I exercised and it went down slower when I exercised less frequently
I have indoor track every other weekday.. but other than not that much.

Honestly, there's no way of knowing how many fractions of a month it will take for you to recover. It might work, might not, but your chances will be better the longer you wait. Regular exercise, healthy diet, and avoiding other drugs will help.

^This. Any tolerance is unlikely to be 'permanent' just perhaps very withstanding. Someone who heavily abuses a drug is likely to react similarly to a naiive user after a long enough break. It might takes years and years of abstinence, but it's nevertheless highly unlikely to be 'permanent'. Considering you're still pretty new to MDMA (having only taken it for a few months), a few more months off should be perfectly adequate. Sure, it might not be that 'first time' but you'll get all the euphoria and empathy you want from standard doses (100-150mg).

This is all not true guys, a 4 month break for most people will reduce tolerance and bring back the magic :)

I agree. Last year I used in January and then again in the Summer. Definitely rolled my face off like it was my college days all over again. Eye wiggles and all. I would of definitely been aces if I did a little sooner.

I will also add these two times were after about a 7-8 month abstinence following heavy use. Think, every weekend-every other weekend for a span of months where I did notice a rising tolerance.

I think the magic is more linked to your memory of the effects that anything else. Like you get to the point with mdma that you know what to expect and it becomes a much less interesting experience. I have had a break since 2011. If I were to roll now, there's no doubt it would be like my first time (or better since I'd get tested gear instead if the mda caffeine meth crap).

With that said, piracetam definitely helped a lot but it increased the cardiac side effects slightly and I had a low grade fever so I only did it three times but yeah it was intense.

^^ on the nail 100% agree.

Personally I think a focus on a decent source and decent supply is a BIG factor to ensuring your next roll / session is a blinder. Of course environment, decent music, feeling safe are big factors too.

also for me when I used to take Es not eating for a while prior to taking ensured a euphoric strong hit but this can be different for different people.
