Hey everyone. I was testing my new batch of Molly and i got a few strange results and was wondering if anyone had any input.

Here are the results:
Marquis x 2 = no reaction either time, i thought maybe it was just cut and i randomly used a pile with no mdma for the first test.
Mandelin x 2 = slight change to light purple over ~30sec both times
Mecke x 2 = instantly black/purple with a fizz/bubble during color change both times
Simons x 2 = the first time it changed to a decent sized blue spot pretty quickly, the second time it went to a slightly smaller blue spot a bit slower

Seeing as the Marquis results kind of contradict the others im a bit baffled. I'm suspecting that some of my chemicals might be old and expired? Do they expire, and what kind of time frame would that occur in? I have had the kit for about 13-14 months i would imagine. I didn't store it in ideal conditions, it was kept in a drawer out of the light at mainly at room temp(~20-22 C). Another thing to note is it appears that at least one of my reagents might have had a tiny leak in the little case. There is some chemical burns on my reagent guide papers in there.

Tomorrow when i have a chance i will test some of my old molly i know tested good and check the chems on that. It might be time to order another kit.

Any help would be very appreciated, thanks!

It sounds like you need a new kit...the leaking/burning of the reagents worries me. Try testing what you know is good and see what happens. The reagents do expire, kits can last a while (up to a year if stored correctly), but since yours is over a year old and may be contaminated, I highly suggest getting a new one ASAP. :)
