Character and leadership
To hear many in the mainstream media describe Mitt Romney, he's out-of-touch, stiff, insensitive and uncaring. In reality, Mitt Romney, the man, husband and leader, is a deeply benevolent, compassionate, and generous man. But he must tell his story.

For example, in July 1996, Romney closed down all of Bain Capital and sent his employees to New York City to search for the 14-year-old daughter of Robert Gay, a partner at Bain Capital. She had snuck off to a rave party in New York City and had been missing for three days. Romney set up a command search center in New York City, coordinated with the New York Police Department, put up posters all over the city, and sent out alerts. It wasn't long before the young girl was found in a basement suffering from ecstasy withdrawal. Referring to Romney's efforts, Gay said: "It was the most amazing thing, and I'll never forget this to the day I die."

Oh gah, let me go get my absentee ballot and make that change right away! 8) :|

I like the story of how he helps poor black families who have lost people due to incarceration or health complications due to illicit drug use.

Most of the article isn't about drugs, but this section caught my eye.
"ecstasy withdrawal" :?

The hangover could certainly be interpreted as withdrawal. It's not really the same, though.

Regardless, all of the Presidential candidates have done some cool thing or other. See also Johnson, Everest, etc. Romney looking out for someone he likes isn't surprising. It's also clear precisely who he likes -- and precisely who he doesn't: most of us.

hypothetical quote from daughter

"yeah i'll go to the rave, but pick me up outside my window. my dad is a power freak. he says raves and ecstasy are how the devil reaches you, what a clown."

^ You can run, but you can't hide.
The US essentially controls the entire world, apart from a few countries like China.
Think about how US drug policy affects drug policy in South America, etc.

And if you stay, you might be able to work on changing things.
If you leave, not only is there really nowhere to go - I tried living in China, and it was far worse - but you can't change anything.
