why were smith machines invented?

High test would imo cause more of a confidence rather than an aggression.
How often do you see the decently well built natty flip out with normal to high test levels or even somebody on 500mg test alone?
Compare this with people who tend to be overweight, they tend to be much more angry all the time. No science Here just irl experience lol

Regards fatties: There would no doubt be substantially more adipose tissue, therefore more aromatase enzymes to convert test to estrogen. When the androgen:estrogen ratio is out of whack, mood changes seem to be more prevalent...

I hate fat people....

I hate fat people....

I hate fat people who are fat because they are lazy fucks who do nothing but eat.
If they came from the wrong end of the gene pool and are just born that way then I feel sorry for them.

It amazes me the differences genetics can cause, I know people my age, who ate literally half the amount I ate when I was injured, I have a sedebtry job and a car where as they don't, and I eat a fuckton more of (as you know I see no need for a clean diet at this point in my bb career) of shifty foods and I was still half their weight.
Truly amazing.

They don't need pity, they need fat camp...

Those Jews came out nice n lean. Im sure on some test they'd blow up nicely. Along with, ya know, food and stuff too lol.

So how can you justify doing a squat in a perfectly vertical smith machine?

I can't think of any movement that does travel along a perfectly straight trajectory. By your logic, you shouldn't be doing bench press on a smith machine either. We make do, and adjust positioning and movements appropriately yeah? Good.

Given it was either that or don't do any useful leg exercises that session (in other words completely waste my lunch break)....

And I should've been a little clearer - perfectly vertical rails were acceptable given the usual smith machines I would have access to are ever so slightly angled, like 80deg instead of 90deg. Vertical is better than being forced to lean forward.

guys if i post some pics up without face and some stats ( without lauging) im not fat, do have some body fat on my arse and my arms are really thin even after 4 weeks of compound lifts (5x5 stronglifts) i wanna get some kind of motivation to change my body n i know after 4 weeks the mental disicipline it is helping with but dunno about gains, i dnt have many pics from before but my legs are getting more toned bigger, top half not so much at all but i was completely skinny , maybe yous guys cud quicken up my gains with some proper guidence, about bloodwork, anyone in uk had this done?

You are right, you shouldn't do benchpress in the smith either. Front squats is alot more vertical movement biomechanic wise, so doing FSQ can be "justified", doing it at short ROM exercises is probably fine too.
What I am saying is you should avoid smiths as much as possible, and they should not be a part of your routine. I would never do squats or benchpresses in a smith.

I'll only ever use the Smith machine for shrugs as part of a normal routine anyway.

Why are you telling us this?

I dnt know probably venting at commercial gyms, i pull my back today going into deadlifts but my workout was shit, jus too packed i hate these sort of gyms where you dont get the exericises in allocated time frame, i think this main reason for my injury as well as not the best form!

No wonder people hit steroids, this shit aint easy!

why do commercial gyms have smith machines? everything i read on them i read bad things about, but going to the gym and doing my routine (5x5 stronglifts) i see guys on this smith machine and im thinking why do they use them when there is a perfectly good bench, decline/ incline bench there?

So to my question, why were they invented? basically for guys who need spotting? i seen two guys ironically there together using it, i read that the smith machine are pretty bad for ur gains compared to free barbell weights

To keep the squat rack free for serious lifters....
