Why we shouldn't smoke pills?

OK, I feel like I'm gonna get alot of bashing for asking this, but I really want to be educated on the harmful effects of smoking pills before I do it anymore. I thought smoking oxys was normal until I researched it a bit. I was just wondering why everyone is normally against smoking/vaporizing pills such as oxys. On my last topic i later asked the same question but noone answered it yet. I researched it on this forum and it seems that there are alot of binders/fillers in the pills. Can someone please explain this to me? Does that just mean the extra things in pills we shouldn't smoke? Is there a difference between smoking pills and vaporizing them off foil? On a side note, can it be done with Dilaudid? Someone I know insists that I try smoking the Dilly, since he and his friend apparantly got a nice buzz off one pill when they both have high tolerances to opiates. Can anyone confirm this? Not too many people seem to be willing to try smoking pills in the first place and I just wanted to be educated before I do something stupid or waste a pill. Thanks for your help everyone! And sorry for asking about a seemingly forbidden topic, just want to know..

You're likely going to get a lot of people telling you that smoking pills is so dangerous that doing so will kill you AND your whole family but conspicuously, none will offer any support.

I am not claiming this to be fact; but I have yet to find evidence that shows that vaporizing pills is worse for you than smoking/vaporizing other products that are commonly consumed via this route of administration or that its more dangerous than other routes (namely IV sans micron filtration).

People assume that since pills are synthetic that they must be wildly carcinogenic however this does not seem to be borne out by evidence.

I am NOT advocating doing this and I never have. Smoking causes the most rapid absorption and quickest onset of effects and this alone makes it incredibly addictive. I am also not saying that there is NO danger/harm from doing this; just that I've seen loads of people who smoke meth, heroin and other illicit drugs (or even tobacco for fucks sake) act like this is the worst thing since Hitler, yet offer no substantiation for their claims.

Hi,

I was addicted to smoking oxys and roxys for about a year, and unfortunately still do it occasionally. Almost everyone I meet nowadays in south florida smokes their pills (on foil). Here's what happened to me:

My asthma went from mild to severe, and I was in the hospital several times with status asthmaticus during this period. Now that I've mostly stopped, I still have severe asthma and need to go to the hospital for steroids/antibiotics/epinephrine shots about every 9 months. Yes I know it's stupid to smoke anything with asthma.

And if you're thinking, well I don't have asthma - THREE of my using buddies developed asthma, and all of them smoked pills for less than two years at this point.

Also, don't plan on ever getting high from eating or sniffing again, I can take 5x my smoking dose and not feel anything. Hope this was helpful, seriously it's not worth breathing problems - shit sucks, and is scary at times. It's very likely that I could eventually die from it, and I'd rather not suffocate to death...

I never thought that I would smoke a pill but that doesnt matter, Ive been addicted for a few years but am now finally almost off of them. I also have asthma and have collapsed my lungs twice, before smoking pills, so I'm also interested in the foil and the damage done.
