Why Vicks???

What is with you guys?
i came here and never heard of this vicks shit before.
I know what it is, and ive used it before while not rolling and it doesnt sound as sooper wondeful as you guys make it out to be. I would muhc rather use some tigerbomb or somthing. its like vicks x 100.
so

Realize that not everyone in this forum is a huge fan of vicks, or even uses it for that matter...Perhaps a big fan of it will give you the detailed explanation you seek, but it's not much more complicated than people using it to further open their respiratory passages and drape their sense of smell with it's odor IMO...
 
Have u ever done the "Vick's Trick"?

Get the inhaler...put it up right side of nostril...begin to inhale/exhale the Vick's while breathing out of ur mouth.
Then do the exact same with the left side of nostril.

After doing the above for about a minute...maybe even less.
Block your nose with ur hand..so as to not let any air out. close ur mouth.
And breath thru ur ears...Just as if u needed to unblock ur ears or sumthing...
Give this a try next time ur rolling...and let me know what u know think of VICKS...

If it still doesn't do it for u then...i dunno...stick to ur tigerbalm...
i honestly wouldnt be able to stand tigerbalm while rolling...would sting too much...
and the smell is not very enticing
 
i think its bigger in some places than in others. im in syd, and have only seen people using it once or twice in about two years of clubbing and raving.

tried it once briefly and was ok- nothing special. when im peaking id rather just dance or listen to the music or talk to people etc. personally i think its a psychological/placebo type thing with a lot of people, who reckon it 'blows them up' or makes them peak harder.

each to their own i guess, but i think im gonna keep on passing on it.
 
I think the whole vicks thing is rather stupid, i hate it when at a rave somebody comes up to me and asks me if i want vicks, i find it almost as annoying as somebody asking me if a want a light show or worse yet "Can you sign my face?"
 
i dont know i just like the smell when im rolling and it tingles thats cool but it gets annoying the next day when you vicks all over your face
 
Different flavors for different people. Personally I love the inhaler but hate the rub. My wife loves both.

Techniques that are a fav........

Snort the inhaler of course.

Hold the inhaler in your mouth backwards and gently blow into your friends eyes. Be careful not to blow any of the vicks to hard or it will cause a small amount of the liquid to come out and itll burn.

Put vapor rub under your eyes... not in them.

Put the rub on a clothe..... a warm wet clothe, lean your head back... looking str8 up, close your eyes and breathe deep. Want to go up again.... HARD??? Turn in circles while doing this while opening and closing your eyes every 30 seconds or so. VERY VERY AWESOME.

If you use it right you will find that it helps and plays with your senses. Some love it, some obviously dont. If you roll enough then you may want to play with different ways to enhance the feeling and for me and my wife... vicks is just one of those ways. ;-)
 
Careful with that inhaler though. A friend of mine swore by this Vicks inhaler, blew the shit in my eyes while we were rolling and it burned the hell out of my eyes. I was blind for like 15 minutes or so.

Plus, he was so in love with snorting that inhaler one night and then ended up runninng a fever and getting sick the day after. He went to the doctor and found out he had a sinus infection...yep, from shoving that inhaler all the way up his nose.

So juse use caution when using the Vicks inhaler.
 
For me personally, simply,vicks gives me a head rush.. aka..blow-up. It also prevents me from smoking cigs because if i get an urge to smoke, i just suck on it and it feels just like i had one of my smokes.....
 
I think I just like it because it makes my eyes boggle8) I will put it under my eyes and all the sudden they are all shaky and shit and it's like DAMMNN IM ROLLIN!
Put it under your nose for a little extra sniff here and there.
Putting it on your private parts will feel AMAAAAZING. Just let the sensation go ;)
 
I haven't used Vicks that often, I bought an inhaler but I keep forgetting to take it with me... The times I have used it, it's never blown my head off or anything... The smell of Vicks just reminds me of being sick with a cold, and I can get headaches from breathing it in while rolling...

I find those listerine strips, or really strong minted chewing gum, has the right effect... or you can get that chewing gum with menthol and eucalyptus in it... that's almost like Vicks in a chewing gum form :P mind you I had to acquire the taste for it... which took a while... and now the taste of that gum makes me sick :P

My favourite 'Vicks roll trick' use to be extracting the pseudo and making speed ... but unfortunately i can't do that anymore.

I'm sorry those just aren't my things, dont worry i always have a good time when i go to party i go to hang out with my friends, dance my ass off, get up behind the decks to spin my sets and listen to some kick ass music, i like to dance with glowsticks im just not a big fan of getting light shows, im sorry if im not a candy kid and im supposeed to do all of these things but ive been in the scene too long for other people to judge me on what i like to do.....so sorry

hehe , do you really have people offering vicks at a rave ?
we just dance here to enjoy the pills =)
the only sign you get ( not the physicals ) of when someone is on pills is the ocasional water bottle , and thats it :)
 
I just stick to a facemask full of vicks, and keep it to myself all night... :) I love that shit
 
Just make sure if randoms use ur inhaler, u clean it every so often:)
Afer all, would you normally inhale and stick up ur nose, wats been up someone elses nose 8o
