Misc Why shouldn't I plug DPH/diphenhydramine

I'm thinking about plugging a 50MG dose of Diphenhydramine. Is there any reason why I shouldn't be doing this?

Because it will irritate your rectum and is not recreational. Except you like having a burning anus.

Just swallow it.
 
So, yeah I tried it.......while I was thinking of "good ideas" during my 50MG Ambien dose last night...

I put the syringe up my ass, injected it and immediately regretted doing it. It hurt like shit, stung like fuck. That's not even the worst part. Normally when you plug shit you immediately feel like you have to take a dump afterwards, but it irritated my bowels so bad that even after just a minute after doing it (I will still trying to hold it in and was laying on my bed) I shit all over my bed...

At least I have another "funny" ambien story now...
 
I tried it with doxylamine and that worked OK and didn't burn. I had a full stomach and figured plugging would work faster and have better bioavailability. I had been using MXE earlier in the night and just wanted to get to sleep before sunrise. It did the job.

EDIT: No, it wont get you high. That wasn't why I tried it. It did get me to sleep quickly though. Not something I would do regularly but in a pinch, and as an experiment, it worked

I died laughing xD. Ambien definately makes you do stupid shit. May I ask what you were expecting from this? Surely not insatant delerium I hope
 
OP does your psych know you're doing stuff like this? I'm sure it can't help your mental problems.

Nope, I wouldn't tell him either. I do stuff like this in waves. I do great for a month, maybe even two months. But then there's a period of usually three days where I'm so depressed and anxious and my psychotic symptoms are so severe that I use drugs excessively. Then, I feel shitty for a week but I've taken all my prescriptions, therefore I feel even more shitty. But at the end of the month I can fill them again which brings me back to normal and I'm fine for another 4 weeks. No medication abuse, normal anxiety (high anxiety, but I meant that's normal for me), minor psychosis but still productive.

This brings up some great questions though. I'm going to make another thread about it right now.

To add to my first post, I've stupidly both tried snorting it and plugging it. Burns like a bitch either way. I can understand why he would try though, in my experience if you don't have a tolerance to it, taking just 50mgs orally puts me to sleep within an hour.

I have a bottle of (approximately) sixty 1MG Ativan pills. However, Ativan can only get me to sleep if I take 6-10 MG's of it.

Diphenhydramine can keep me asleep, but for some reason it seems to have no effect on me at oral doses below 200MG's so I wanted to plug it so less would be more effective.
 
Diphenhydramine (or was it dimenhydrinate) is already sold in suppositories. Just get those.

The only real use for them is to stop unremitting nausea (which won't let you keep pills in your stomach). Otherwise DPH is well absorbed orally.

This thread is pretty much answered now.
