why say farewell, when you've already gone..

bow your head before you fall into oblivion,
for you never know just what you may see.
it could be something awful, something grotesque,
or it could be just saying farewell to your friends..
it's hardest to say goodbye when you're silently nodding,
clawing and fighting to keep afloat when you'd rather sink.
it's all just the despair as it washes over your heart,
covering your mind in a sadness yet clenses the soul, clearest eternity.
