hey peoples:
I've noticed that a lot of posters on this board and others don't like morphine for some reason.
Personally, I think it is one of the most enjoyable opiates out there, and is second only to diamorphine (H) in my book. Am I the only one here who thinks this?

I just think morphine has a very satisfying, intense body buzz with lots of lucid dreaming, a wonderful feeling of warmth that is only matched by H, and even a slight pyschadelic effect which is pretty cool. The euphoria is much stronger than oxy or dilaudid as far as I'm concerned.

Of course there are side effects, the worst of which are the nausea and vomiting, and hangover the next day. These unpleasant side effects go away after a few days of using M, but they are more pronounced than other opiates like oxy, dilaudid, H, etc.

So, am I alone here, or does anyone else love plain ole' morphine with a passion?
Also, has anyone ever IV'd morphine? I've only snorted and eaten it (because the continuous release pills I've had are not good for cooking up, and I don't like taking those kinds of risks if I don't have to), but I hear you get a strong pins and needles feeling all over your body, followed by a rush of warmth. Any comments on this?

A good study was just done that said even if you body metabolizes M well, at best , after chewing and swallowing it up good , you may only get 30mg! Based on a 100mg slow release tablet. That sucks man. Once upon a time, in a dream, I stumbeled upon some Oramorph 60mg. I took two at a time, knowing I would loose at least 50%, and I tell you, it just was not that good. IV is very differnt though, I hear, but oral, M is really not that good unless you have a low tolerance. They can keep WD's at bay though if you use them properly, so they are not usless. But I would take Vikes, or of course Oxy over M any day. And BTW, dont shoot those pills. You need Msir and a micron, or wheel filter, to shoot them fairly safely.

thanks for the reply.....I know not to shoot the damned things - shooting pills is not my thing, unless I had the materials you mentioned. As I said before, I've never had IV morphine because of the pills.

As for not being able to get high from oral M.....that may be the case, but snorted M can give you a very powerful buzz, although you do need more mg for mg than oxycodone. I've only eaten M a couple times, and snorting is definately the way to go.

I agree about the snorting, but you MUST chop up super fine and just do little bits at a time,or else the nose gets clogged from the waxy particles. Before I knew how to do it right, I got one very clogged nose that day, ouch! And good you know not to shoot those kinds of pills, I commend you!

its just hard to get, so not many people have lots of experiances with it. I personally love it, and wish i could get it whenever i wanted it.
 
morphine is nice IV, but orally it has a very low bioavailability. Still, even pod tea can be quite nice. But oxycodone is more euphoric by several orders of magnitude, and the rush of IV morphine pales in contrast to stuff like dilaudid and I assume H (never had it). Morphine is definitely nice though, and I wouldn't kick it out of bed.
 
morphine fan here aswell, i think it's mostly cause people eat or snort it
 
IV Morphine is great, I would never turn it down.. but Heroin is just better all-round, and much cheaper :D
 
You are the man, i love morph and have been using for a while. As far as im concerned its my drug of choice, i dont know where you are Chubba but where i live morph costs less then half the price of H. I dont know anyone who woult think of morphine as anything other then IV but you people on bluelight are from so many different places. Speaking of morph.....:D

I have no idea why morphine is so unpopular. I really enjoy it, and after the first time a started using it, i quickly became a favorite.

I use it daily, either IM o IV...more so IV over the last month. I recently received some MR slow release capsules and grubbed 4 15mg...Pure waste of time if you ask me. My dosing for IM is about 25mg, and for IV i usually go with 15 or 17.5mgs...I figured I would be making up for the loss of strength if I took 60mg, but between the slow release and the different usage I was not impressed. The first pass absorbtion with morphine makes oral dosing almost senseless...I may have a different opinion if I got some MSIR, I'll do the pepsi challnge then.

Couldnt be more wrong. Morphine, particularly ms contin, is amoung one of the easiest CII's to find. Its very common with cancer patients. So its definately not a matter of it being hard to get. The reason is as stated before: extremely low oral bioavailability, making it hard to permeate the blood brain barrier. This means IV morphine is 3 times more potent than oral administration. And, most people try morphine via ms contin, which is a horrible morphine formulation (they really fucked up with that one). Some of the oral instant release solutions and msIRs are better, but still its much better if IV'ed.

So morphine is OK, i used to IV it alot, and it worked. The rush is very physical and there isnt that much psychological euphoria, as opposed to IV oxycontin which is less physical of a rush but more euphoric.
 
I agree ^ MS Contin is shit for recreational purposes. Also morphine is the only opiate that has ever made me throw up, and it was not such a large dose.
 
I am definitely a morphine fan. It has to be a pharmaceutical injectable preparation though. Orally it just doesn't work well.
 
I know its been said before..but I think it should be said again....MSContin which is releasred slowly into your system over a long period if time is horrible....BUT, MSir is as potent a drug as is out there! Its not as easy to get because Doctors want the drug in your system as long as possible if your a cancer patient or suffer with chronic pain....MSir hits your brain like a bolt of lightening and in a flash,like its cousin Heroin its gone. Doctors frown on perscribing medication that work for a short period of time and they are also wise to the fact of what MSir does...that is why MSContin is mostly out there giving oral morphine a bad rep.........

Um.. that is false. It's alot better than contins, but there are other opioids that are FAR more potent by weight and that have much a much higher affinity for the mu receptors, and also have much less side effects.
 
Well it seems people don't like MS Contin, which is one of the only preparations I've had (other than liquid M syrup which I didn't like). I crush the hell out of it a la OC, and snort it, and find that I can get very high that way. Orally, I don't find it to be anything special, but snorting 120mg or so is damned good! I would rather have 180mg of MS Contin than an equivalent amount of OC. Call me crazy, but my tolerance for oxy is just too damned high, and the Moe gets me off better. Of course, I would much rather have an injectable preparation, but I have yet to come across one (getting any kind of M around here is very difficult), and as I already said, cooking up MS Contin just isn't my thing.

sounds like the rush from IV Moe is pretty good.
Also, do the poster that mentioned Dilaudid - I never found the rush to be as good as everyone says.....I've IV'd as much as 12mg of the shit, and while it is very clean with few side effects, it's too short, and not nearly as good as H. It is also a total waste if taken orally or even nasally.

I usually IM morphine if I want start flying, smoother and lasts longer. If I want a rush dilaudid is best. I've never banged the pills, the only dilaudid I've had is a liter sized bag of dilaudid in an IV pump, thanks HSS!
