Why is MDMA such low yield today?

The people who are making lots of MDMA are buying MDP2P in the range of tonnes, at likely no more than a few hundred bucks a liter.

What is MDP2P used for, cosmetics or something? Or does it have solvent uses?

I think it's only really useful as an intermediate, the methylenedioxy group isn't all that stable so it wouldn't be a very practical solvent.

^^No worries, I'm just a skinny white college musician type without any access to drug making supplies (although, it could be argued that my stereotype is typical for the job at hand!) Anyway, my math was based off the yield produced in a common synth text that's been circulated around the internets -- for all I know it could be complete bullshit (and most likely is).

Not to derail the thread, but LSD is not difficult to make by even someone with a masters in organic synth. If you have the LA, its one step, easy as hell with modern peptide coupling reagents, and some columns. If you have the ET, its a base saponification then one step. sorry to burst the bubble.

I know some crazy tweaker who has about 20 liters of the stuff (MDP2P) just sitting in his tweaker workshop, and he's not doing anything with it. I don't want to get involved AT ALL, but I'm curious - is that highly valuable?
He always claims the Hells Angels are trying to break in/kill him/steal it/etc, but I just chalk it up to his tweaker paranoia. He told me it was worth $1.1mil, but thats obviously TOTAL bullshit. Any one have any ideas of what that might be worth? PM me if its a burnout to post it in here.

MDP2P isn't the most stable stuff. Even if you keep it in the freezer it will degrade relatively quickly. I would be worried about the quality of such a large amount of MDP2P improperly stored.

Is it simply because people have been conditioned to accept pills with god knows what it them, and also based on the average age of the user and their neivete relative to the average consumer.

Kind of like it's easier to sell 18yo's coke that is cut to hell and they have not enough experience in the drug world, and are still cutting their teeth relative to the 35yo who has bought 1/2 oz's or higher before?

Like that movie, whatever it was...some chick is working at a gocery store helping out some dude but it's a set up and she gets tipped off so flushes the X. Then she goes and buys sum bunk at cvs and finds kids more nieve than her and they arer buying her pills and in a kind of wanting to fit in kind of thing...like they are almost in delial they are syaing "yeah...I feel a wave coming on".

I know that when I was young I was intimidated by older people and wanted to fit in.

Now at my age I would LOVE to do MDMA as I have said several times. It was legal when I was in high school but not really well known so it wasn't a common thing sold, at least around where i was like pot and acid were. So I never tried it.

But now, I wound not buy some random pill, not even some pill I researched off of a pill check site that shows some level of MDMA.

I have also developed some level of restraint to the impulsivity more common in youth, and would be more inclinded to pass on risky situations that did not seem the least bit risky to me when I was 20. Hell, when I was 20 they seemed exciting and fun and adventurious. NO matter what you had a fun story to tell.

So I'm wondering if the customer base is simply conditioned to buying some pills that are analog mixes or mda plus whatever, etc and they take their chances. Similar to people who buy pills over the internet at foreign pharmacies, unless they really do their homework there is a fair chance they are going to get taken for a ride.
