why is it that the majority of psychedelic users are male?

because women are already crazy as it is and psychs would just exacerbate their hysteria. haha.

completely kidding on that one...i know a decent number of chicks that like to trip or use psychs of some intensity or another. mainly when i was younger it seemed...however, the first time i gave one of my ex gfs like 2gs of cubes, she freaked out had an insane trip was crying and the whole nine...that was completely 100% her though, as i think she had repressed a lot of intense emotional issues. then there was the time i gave my other gf k and she did the pile instead of line and proceeded to look at a spoon and think shes a cat. that was funny. but k is a dissociative so thats not really here nor there lol.
 
I don't think it would be too crazy to say that every single girl who was at the music festival I came back from last weekend has taken acid. Just gotta find the festivals if you want to find the psychedelic chicks. They are the best, oh man how I love tripping with my baby.
 
In my experience this is not true.

My opinion is that, women are held to different social standards.

Where, unless with a close significant other or friend of the opposite sex, will hold in a fart and toot it in the bathroom.

Same with tripping. I think its mostly even. But its not always appropriate to be loud with it or dicksize or brag.

Also. Think what it is like to be a female in modern society. When you are intoxicated, if attractive, you have a lot of shit to deal with. And stress. And expectations. And scumbags.

So i think the safe setting is smaller. Leading to less frequency. But similar experience.

And as far as documentaries, or public figures, or musicians....I mean is it not pretty even when after the time period of women's rights?

Well to balance things out, here's how I picture the majority of Bluelight posters in my head:

 
Men are more likely to do "naughty" or illegal things, that's why they make up the majority of the prison population. Women tend to be more cautious.
 
My old lady grew up in rural Louisiana and was drinking mushroom tea by 8 years old, she tripped a lot as a kid but being native american it was part of the culture. She claims her grandmother was collecting psylocybe cubensis from cow pastures long before the famous watson Life magazine articles in the 50's.

Myself being a deadhead I always found the girls were more into tripping. I guess times have changed.

I personally think that there are a number of things associated with use of psychedelics that cause prevalence to be favored towards males, such as:

- Analysis: elaborated inquiries into all kinds of subjects related to what is inside and outside of ourselves
- Exploration (some risk is also implicit)
- Risk-taking (there lies a much greater level of uncertainty in the course or quality of a psychedelic trip compared to the effective experience you get from other drugs such as uppers or downers)

These are typical components of psychedelia that correspond much more to the nature of males than of females.

It's not that I am sexist and think that females don't have the same sort of potential for expression of spirituality, the intellect or other things, but rather that the tendency to go out and explore where those boundaries lie is greater in men. I think that is an evolutionary thing and that it is easy to confuse what people can do or what people will do, and that is relevant to the question of gender emancipation.

I really doubt that there is actually a large difference in numbers between male and female users of psychedelics. They are pretty amazing drugs, and attract a lot of people regardless of race/gender/age/anything-you-could-stereotype. OP is definately trolling or closed minded (don't psychedelics make you hyper aware of these sort of behaviors..?). It's also possible like people were saying females are just quieter about their use, or that males are more prevalent on bluelight but this doesn't necessarily apply to the real world.
 
I would say I've actually seen quite the opposite. Most of the serious trippers I've met off the 'net have been female. They're also usually people I bond with a lot more easily than the males I've met who trip. I like feeding them psychedelics until they burst. :D

In my experience women like to trip just as much as fella's. Personally if I'm tripping, a gender diverse group of people make for a more fulfilling experience. Women, obviously, add something to the group identity and that sends the journey off in different directions.

"Trolling or close minded?" Huh? The "difference in numbers" isn't even reasonably disputable.
