    Welcome Guest!

Why is electronica absolutely incredible

Feels good man.

Something about munching down a few X pills and listening to some jungle / house is amazing!

I think it's mainly down to the precise timing and structure of dance music along with the heavily textured sounds that are almost tangiable. But for the most part, I think most of the enjoyability comes from the predictability of the genre. You typically know what's going to happen next, just not how it's gonna happen.

I find that I don't like EDM music as much when I'm rolling as other times, sure it's great to be in a club off your face dancing to it but I tend to prefer other genres more (rock of different kinds, avant guard, jazz, blues, twee pop etc)

drum&bass ftw!
breaks is pretty sick when your pinging as well..

butt, i cant listen to it when im stoned.

I think there is something to be said for the 'nasty' factor that seems to be a pretty big part of electronic music. You might know what I'm talking about. This factor is amplified a hundred fold when rolling, but you know when you hear a beat or a section in a song that is just IMPOSSIBLY perfect, like it is just the funkiest, most groovin ass shit you have EVER heard. And you make that face like "oh fuuuuckkkk".

Electronic music does that to me a lot haha. Especially Dieselboy.

Also, the sounds themselves that are used can play a huge role in the listening experience, in electronic music we are no longer limited to certain instruments, any sound is available and the possibilities are endless. It allows DJs to get that "perfect sound" for a certain section or one that will really warp your mind/make you cry/etc...

electronica music is simply amazing. it is so easy to get into it. listeing to it makes me feel like im a part of it and i just want to let go. especially trance or any chill electronica.. ah makes me just want to let go and swing to it and not think of anything bad. just listen to the music. its amazing.

If you all have not already, go pick up Armin van Buuren, A State of Trance 2007 and 2008. Both are double CD mixes of the best trance you can ask for. You will not be disappointed. If you listen to them while rolling, prepare for massive eargasms.

armin van buuren a state of trance 2007 track 4 disc 1, who will find me. total rusher. although if your in a club enviroment trance is too slow, drum and bass and hardcore all the way.

i think psytrance n dubstep are the best when rolling, they both have given me tingles and made me move with the music. drum n bass i love aswell but it doesnt give me the same effects as psytrance or dubstep. trance is also just epic when rolling, adagio for strings by tiesto is amazing especially when rolling

Social construction of the raver archetype.

Why to the Dead sound so transcendent on a fatty dose of L, or why does the live 1969 version of "heroin" by the velvet underground touch my soul when I'm headin off into a nod?

It's because electronica is among the most "Twangy" of musical sounds.

Ill tell you why

Theres NO better feeling then being sky high on top of the world in the back of your friends car with two 12" subwoofers in the back pounding house music.

:::Sigh::::

I gotta go change my underwear just thinking about it.

No way electronica sucks it is annoying and repetitive. Unfortunetly ive noticed a lot of people like it, especially peeps from europe; they dont listen to anything else.

Really?

Dont you think thats a pretty silly statement?

Its about as meaningless as someone saying that rap sucks and is annoying and repetitive and unfortunately I have noticed a lot of people like it, especially peeps from the USA. They dont listen to anything else.

Pretty silly isnt it.
