Open Discussion Why is doing drugs frowned upon on Bluelight?

If a person were to say I think i will swim with great whites without a cage, an experienced diver would be remiss to point out the dangers. I don;t want anyone else to develop hcv so I discourage iv use.or lose years of their life to an addiction. to lose friends who swam with those sharks. Just a heads up not hating.

you posted, asking for opinions on a public site. Some of us gave our opinions, and I don't think that any of them were or are swayed to any great extent by the "say no to drugs"campaign. In fact probably everyone who replied were or are active drug users.

You did not like or agree with some of the replies that you received.
And then you set up a post complaining about it?
Just ignore the posts you don't like, the are more than likely by some washed out junkie, and run with the ones that appeal to you. Simple.:D

It's not that I don't like the replies (well, I don't, but that's not the point), but I didn't understand them. This thread wasn't to complain, it was so that I could better understand the replies that I was receiving. And thanks to bukweat, I now do.

In the drug community bad paths are taken unintentionally all the time, the member isn't ordering you to stop, only suggesting it to potentially prevent a disastrous future. Addiction and overdoses are real, as are long lasting side effects of the aforementioned drugs. It is your life to live, but friendly criticism never hurts.

Technical information about Bluelight​

Bluelight uses three UNIX servers, hosted in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The forum runs on vBulletin with plugins and custom modifications. Additional features include Blogs and CMS modules. Bluelight also generously provides a dedicated server for Pillreports.com.

Many of us on this board are disgruntled drug veterans. Some of us have made bad choices we wish we could change. Unfortunately this is impossible and it frustrates us to see someone else heading down the same path, especially when ignorant about it.

examples of great frustration: "heroin gets rid of my depression" "I NEED benzos to help my social anxiety" "meth makes me productive and creative that's why I use" etc

I also once thought drugs were the answer to most of my problems...
