why exactly do people do triple Cs?

Im not putting this into the psychedelic subforum. I do not consider DXM to be a true psychedelic, it simply doesnt provide the same introspection and insight that drugs such as shrooms do.

Anyways, why do people do triple Cs. It makes no sense to me why people insist on taking triple Cs or drinking cough syrup when there are capsules that contain only DXM. When you only need DXM for a high, why do people insist on buying the pills that contain other active ingredients, when the ones that contain dextromethorphan only are right next to it on the shelf? It makes zero sense to me.
 
Moving to PD since, regardless of whether you believe DXM to be a true psychedelic, all DXM discussion is handled in PD. That's just how it is.
 
You can extract from triple C's, but hardly anyone does. Just cheap bastards.

That shit gives you a whole other dimension to DXM. Triple C's are evil.
 
DXM does provide great introspection for my friend.
For me, it felt like I was going crazy and everythign was fucking insane.
But at the same time.. I really liked it.

Whereas a friend of mine said he had a very spiritual experience and learned a lot.

Mushrooms are MUCH much mroe introspective and you laern a lot more things which you can use.

The reason why people do triple C's is because they're often ignorant and think they'll be fine.
Often early 20's or teenagers, still think that they're invincible, only notice when something bad happens.

Generally people do them to get fucked up and have a good time.

This is the kind of stupid shit I've heard from non-informed drug users, all I can do is roll my eyes and try not to correct them. ;)

The kind of people who pop Triple C's probably think that Robutussin cough gels are a whole different type of drug... lol
 
Idiot girlfriend of mine went to rehab because she was addicted to triple C's. WHAT A JOKE. I dont see her anymore but when I do shes like "its been (insert time) since I took triple C's!".

PATHETIC.
 
Aren't dissociatives wildy psychologically addictive, though? Especially if that person is using the NMDA antagonists as way of escape... check out Erowid addiction & habituation reports for DXM and Ketamine, you'd be surprised.
 
Triple C's toxicity is a prime example of why the desire/effort to control recreational usage of drugs causes harm.

"Just Say No" drug education doesn't work any better than "Abstinence until Marriage" sex education does.

And propaganda spreading misinformation about drugs, make people question the authenticity of the rest of the information.

Someone hear's dangerous information about drug B, and finds it to be untrue, they may believe dangerous information about drug (triple) C to be equally untrue.
