Why don't I see trails

Tracers are kinda strange though, I mean I kind overdid it in my youth so I know I have a bit of permavision in that given the right circumstances I still see tracers on nothing....

my wife got a strong body high of LSD but very little in the way of visuals where as on 25i she closes her eyes and sees her own inner world, but tracers for her are mild even on 25i

some people are alot more visual I suppose. tracers are there when you are not really erm.... focused on them so to speak

25d-NBOMe and 25i-NBOMe have both given me super solid looking trails. High doses of 2c-e works too.

Are seeing tracers a goal of yours, OP?
They are slightly novel, but all in all, they don't really add to the experience and definitely aren't a profound aspect of psychedelics. Tracers can even be quite disorienting, I don't see why 'missing' them is a big deal.

Persistence of vision is probably the factor repsonsible for objects 'trailing'. Either that, or just a 'memory effect' in the visual cortex/retina, similar to the illusion where you stare at a blue dot for a while, then look at a white surface and see a pink dot. You can actually produce this effect in sober people by having them look at a moving light source (like a lamp) in a dark room. (Also, see the Prisoner's Cinema illusion where a fixed nonmoving light source in a dark room will appear to move around mysteriously, or Ganzfield where a wholly dark room will still appear to have flashes of bright 'noise' in it)

Like Soli and others have said however, you can't really pick and choose effects with pscyhedelics, nor does everyone respond the same. just appreciate that your visual cortex is a wonderfully complex bit of biology and that you can poke it into doing fun things :)

Mmm I think I started tge thread cos its a steriotipical
Aspect of tripping ppl waving there hands in front of there face
I've been quite far out I would of expected me too see it is all

2C-I and 2C-D gave me the longest trails/tracers. It would take a LOT of LSD to get the same effect (for me like 700ug or more), as I would from a normal/highish dose of 2C-D or 2C-I.

DOC certainly could do the trick as well.

I think people can pick and choose drugs for different visual effects to a good degree. Sometimes you will not get what you expect but I think when you have tried enough different psychedelic drugs enough times, you should have a pretty good idea what to expect.

I just see so many creatures in everything. Grass and roads and other simple patterns become tapestries of kaleidoscopic creatures.

I too have never experienced huge amounts of tracers but then again what with all the creatures, three dimensional walls reaching out, wiggly eye octopus trees and front gardens made out of trillions of tiny wooden cubes, I never complained :P
