Why do you use drugs?

Because I enjoy the feeling of being twisted. I enjoy 'not being normal' for a period of time.

I had no questions, it was perfectly clear to me. My mind is the egg, and what happens when I take drugs is, I open it and see all the amazing things that are inside. All its contents are just laid out plain and visible, in ways they simply aren't when I'm sober. The sizzling is of course the euphoria of turning something embryonic into something solid, colourful and delicious. His metaphor was perfect!

I decided there and then that I was gonna take more drugs.

I have to thank that guy for the mind-opening experience. Actually I might have only seen him on TV. I forget. I was on acid at the time.

Nah but seriously: I prefer the effect of cannabis because i don't turn into a complete asshole.
The amount of times I have almost got into a fight because of my loud aggressive drunkenness puts me off alcohol and I am certainly not an aggressive person at all. I live by P.L.U.R

If we explained why we use drugs, I get the feeling you still wouldn't understand.

I use:

Acid/shrooms: for mind expansion, traveling to places ive never been, for spiritual reasons and so forth.

Molly/pills/speed: Im not a big fan of drinking and i get very tired from it. I love the energy it gives me at a rave, love the bonding and the social aspect of it.

Benzos (Xanax etc): Used to use them to potentiate my opiates and for anxiety problems.

Opiates (Oxys, hydromorphone, morphine and codeine): For pain management, to escape my bad thoughts, boredom, to play video games and to relax, kickback and chill.

Bud/Hash: To help me sleep at nights, stops me thinking about the harder opiates (have been clean for almost 3 months now), to have a laugh, boredom and is a cheaper alternative to other things.

Done most other things imaginable but never really bothered to use them on a regular basis like i used to use above mentioned.
 
in the beginning i used because it was fun. now i use so i can be normal and function somewhat. its something i love to fucking hate.
 
Now that the thread is merged with a more serious one, I'll answer properly. :) I take drugs for self-exploration and because I'm after a very particular answer that I doubt I'll be able to find through any other mind-altering practice. I'm also tempted to take them for self-medication for recurrent bad feelings. It's my big temptation that so far I've managed to avoid.
