Why do you test your pills?

I am constantly reading posts of it tested orange/clear and when I took it, it had no effector was very speedy/weird. What is the purpose of testing your pills if you are going to take them anyway? If I'm correct dangerous substances such as PMA will give an orange/brown result and who knows what other nasties, if you want speed.. buy it!(I know like E's theres' alot of crap around, but there is some OK stuff out there.)
Things like EZ test kits and this web site make our favourite past time a hell of alot safer, but only if we use them correctly.

Ooooppps, i didn't know that PMA tested brown/orange, it doesn't say so in the reading material that came with the testing kit. But yeah, that is a good point u made. If more people refused to buy pills that don't turn black then perhaps dealers would get the message...
Interestingly though, a "big" dealer (i didn't mean fat either) i saw tonight basically laughed at the idea of me testing his gear. Course, i told him "my way or the highway" (how cool am i?

), but he reckoned the idea of testing pills is bullshit, and that the tests didn't work properly. If his is a common belief amongst peeps, it would explain why they still try the orange/brown gear. Personally, i have never had any reason to doubt the result of the pils i have tested. Hmmm, i have no idea where i am actually going with this so i guess i will stop rambling now.

It can be very usefull. Consider if you bought what you thought to be just MDMA, and it turned out to be laced with LSD or 2CB. Imagine your reaction if you have never had anything but MDMA or speed, and you started feeling wierd and having trippy visuals and you didn't know what the fuck was going on.
Test and be sure I say. That way you can put yourself in the right kinda mood, or at least tell your mates you are going to la la land for a bit

i dunno about you guys, but i don't *touch* anything that tests orange - there is no excuse, you never buy in large quantities unless you've already tested the material beforehand.
i know smurf does the same.. and a few other people on here.
the problem is that people will go out to clubs and buy off people in the club, not giving a fuck what the pill is like just as long as it "gets them off".
on friday night at sublime@Home i met up with a bunch of friends. two girls who haven't dropped before scored off one of their friends who has dropped many times. 2 hours later their pill hadn't hit and they were *shitty* as. i took them aside and told them "look, the pills you had probably had no mdma in them at all, i have a pink lady here that i've tested, take half each, i've had half and they are very nice". It took them about half an hour to actually make up their mind, and in the end they were so shitty they ended up buying the pink lady off me.
If you've read the report on the pink ladies you can imagine what happened next :-]
45 minutes later they were both floating on an mdma cloud, hugs all round and the all to common "wow, why the hell didn't i come to you first.."
Of course, they don't want to know the difference between the pills, they aren't interested - so after explaining the difference to them (which they obviously weren't interested in) they just said "well we just wanna make sure we get all our future stuff off you".
I had to break their hearts and tell them that supplying them was a one off... but it seriously did make me want to supply for them next time, someone having a bad experience on an e is a mark against our community! :-]
ez-testing is *not* a farce.. if it worked in holland where the e scene is much more hardcore then here, then people should take heed.

if your dd doesn't understand, change dd's! i'd rather have a sympathetic dealer and pay a few $$'s more than having a cheapass dealer who doesn't give a shit.
 
I Agree with Dangermouse, get a DD who doesn't fuck ya around and one who lets you test pills. I don't mind the ole speed bomb (on occasion), regulars to pillreports.com and bluelight will know how much I love the pink hearts with a star, but generally if i've tested a pill and it goes orange I don't buy it.
 
I test before I hand over any money EVERYTIME!!! And Ive been known to hand back shit that isnt to my liking also. Personally I dont give a flying fuck whether the DD's laugh or not. My 10-packs may be nothing to them but its a hit on my pocket and I want to know I'm getting what I paid for.
I went in with a friend this weekend who was getting grey fish - heyya - take my money. I knew they were good. Then they get fucked around. First they are white euros, then white horseshoes, then they get this bag of broken up blue shit. They didnt use a tester. It turns out what they got tested orange. Luckily for me they called me around the horseshoe stage and I pulled my money out.
I personally dislike speed...hate the not being able to sleep after a night syndrome. If I want speed I can get decent quantities for small $$$, why pay $40 for speed whan its only worth say $20.
I'm at the stage where I have even bought testers and given them to my DD's to stop them
1) whingin to me they got sold crap
2) to stop them trying to push their crap onto me.
I'm pretty lucky I guess. I get offered quite a bit to choose from. I turn alot down. Man can only eat so many beans anyway

Because of this luxury I only worry about picking premium brand names, which funnily enough always test black.
For example, we had green cu's, gold ck's, grey fish, blue loves, green butterflies, white supermen, purple butterflies, audi TT's, and this morning my mate grabbed me some pink ladies. All tested, all quality stuff. Not a dud amongst them.
I guess Im pretty conservative these days. Earlier on I would throw anything down, just like dangermouse said happens at clubs all the time. But I think the longer you are in this game the more crap you see, the more bad stories you here, so not only do I test them, but wait till someone else says they had them before I drop one.

the questions should be "why don't you test your pills?" as well as "why don't you post your results so everyone knows?"
this isn't directed at anyone in particular but it would be great to see more pill reports, with ez test results, from everyone... especially regs. any info is good info.

I once talked to this guy (who was only 16), who told me that he would never take a white pill because "all white pills are fucked up" (probably because of the white butterflies that were PMA).
When I tried to explain to him that the colour of the pill has nothing to do with it, and the usual preach about the smack and coke myths he stated "I don't give a shit what I take as long as it gets me fucked". Of course, he was at a loss for a reply when I pointed out that he said he wouldn't take white pills.
There's just too many ignorant dickheads out there who just want to play the "who can get fucked up the most" game. They're going to keep the shit pills on the market because they'll always buy anything they can. Then they cause media attention when they get a bunk pill and OD

I was just talking to a guy on IRC about pills, who said that making pills from "kat and coke and ket" ("kat" is apparently katamphetamine, "stuff that smells like pistacio icecream" wtf???) would be better than making them from mdma.
When I laughed at him, he said:

So obviously this guy thinks that its ok to sell bunk pills, and that people should only expect mdma when they buy caps. hrmmm....well, anyone can go to a healthfood store and buy a bottle of empty gelcaps and fill it with whatever they can find in their laundry cupboard.
I found all this rather amusing until he asked me if I had "one of those tester things from jvs"

Which brings me to my point (I think)...
Ignorant fucks like him know about eztests, yet still believe the myths and propaganda (I asked him why he'd bother to put coke in his pills, and he quit IRC without answering).
I dread what could happen...guys like him are still going to be selling shit pills, but claiming they test purple/black. This is going to put buyers in awkward positions...I think dd's understand if you want to test pills now, but if they say they've tested them already and you still want to test them, then it comes down to a personal trust issue (ie: they might think you're accusing them of lying)
Well...we can always hope they'll kill themselves off with their own bunk pills

Interesting point EBee, i have had quite a few people tell me that i will never find a pill with MDMA in it these days, and that they are all coke, smack, or speed. Of course the same guy wanted to sell me white mitsi speed bombs...
Regarding the guy who wouldn't take white pills, a certain country radio station in W.A. provided its lucky listeners with an "informative" discussion on drugs, focusing on E. On of the many usefull tips that the "expert" had to pass on was that people should avoid taken any brownish coloured pills, as they are always "dangerous" pills.
My parents heard this, and took quite a bit of convincing before i could assure them that this was crap. Note that my parents don't take E, however they are fully aware of how distorted the media's representation of other drug related issues are. I wonder what less informed people would have taken from such a crappy "discussion".
 
The ones I hate the worst are the ones who brag about taking drugs and then go on about how dangerous the rugs are to make themselves look hard or psycho.
It seems to be cool among kids these days to be fucked up. I've seen so many kids brag about being on anti-d's, having ADD, getting alcohol poisoning, and even spending a week or two in a mental/rehab hospital (altho I doubt much of it is actually true).
 
I remember in my early days thinking DD's were not to be fucked with/had to be kept on side etc. in case I got cut off or looked uncool.
For many people this is still the case ... we ARE rebelling against the establishment after all.
I mean let's face it ... only pussys drink light beer, smoke low-tar cigarettes and test pills. WHADDAYA?!
I congratulate all of you who test - you are the single malt scotch drinkers of the scene.
If people have what you believe to be the wrong attitude, suggest they visit this site and then leave them be.

e-bee, the "kat" that that person was referring to was most likely "cat" or "cath" or chemically known as methcathinone. it's an amphetamine easily synthesised from psuedephedrine (which is readily available in sudafed tabs).
methcat is supposedly like a mix between e and speed... although i'd tend to say it would be closer to speed seeing as there doesn't seem to be any relatinoship to the empathogen family in the compound at all. (are you loved up on speed? i'm not.. i want to clear everyone the fuck out of my way and lose it) :-]
there is nothing worse than someone trying to convince *you* that you are wrong when you know you aren't. :-] I was spekaing to a friend the other day who was telling me that mdma was different to ecstasy... "mdma is more softer, ecstasy is like shit that gets you ripped".
i couldn't even bother to finish off the conversation with them :-[

Wait until we finally synthesize the right combination of Sulphur Dioxide and other chemicals to get the "can tell the diff between MDMA, MDEA, MDA, coke, speed, K, shit" TESTER.... it's not THAT far away...

How do you get a EZ test kit? Ive heard of them, but never knew where to get one. though I don't pop as frequently as I used to, I'd wanna see the contents of my leftovers and future ones I might pick up.

You can have 'em mailed to you for $45 (postage paid) by me, or you can attend your local understanding bong or smoke store (like Off Ya Tree, Smoke Dreams, Joynt Venture, Bongo Mania in Chapel Street, Melbourne etc) and ask them for one while handing them a big $50 note....
Only caveat is: some of those stores across Australia (notable Perth) may NOT have them in as yet, 'cause the EZ Test boys in Sydney are flat out keeping up with the orders, so you can always get 'em from me in the meantime down here
