Why do you take drugs?

Overall I use drugs to escape from myself and lifes troubles. Sometimes I simply need to drown out the machinery in my head. From time to time I just think to much so I quiet my mind with opiates. I'll use ecstasy to give me that spark that helps reignite the flame of life in my soul when its extinguished by lifes problems. It all gives a me a reason to live and makes me a better person. 55 hour work week? Stressed to shit? Lifes got me down? 30 minutes that shit will melt away with some painkillers when I nod out. One month worth of bullshit? Jaded by life? Ready to say fuck it all? Pop a couple ecstasy tabs in club with techno blasting and lifes worth living again with the new perspective I got. I proberly wouldnt be here right now if it wasnt for that fact that ecstasy opened my eyes to the beautiful things in life about a year ago.

Without getting too in depth Ill just say to alter the world. To see how it looks a little differently. It can make the same mundane routine a little less mundane.

And also, the rewards system thing can kinda work for me a guess. I work my ass off all week at school and my job, and then one day a week, I just sit back, relax, and enjoy
