why do you do drugs?

- to feel good/have fun
- to escape
- to improve everything (food, sex, music, etc - everything's better with drugs %))
- addiction :o
- self-medication
- to better connect with people (if that makes sense?)
 
I use drugs as a "life enhancer" any drug I have ever done gave me that feeling like nothing else on earth can (besides sex)
 
i do drugs to explore my mind and find out things about myself and this world that i never would be able to figure out without drugs. drugs for me are like the key to a door to a parrallel world, and the more time i spend in those parallel worlds, the more i appreciate the real world and everything around me. using drugs also makes me significantly more creative and happier with my life.
the drugs i use include:
weed
lsd
shrooms
salvia
and occasionally nitrous oxide and ecstacy, but not as often as the others listed
 
A part of me wants to say that I use drugs to 'enhance' whatever it is I"m doing at the moment like listening to music, watching tv, etc; but really the only thing drugs really enhances for me is masturbation. I don't get laid very much as of late. So..

drugs = masturbation

I do them in secret. Try not to let anyone know about them. Get a rush, p e a k peak PEAK P . E. A . K . and then it's over. Clean up. Go on with my day.

Some drugs make me learn more about who I am. Some allow me accomplish things and understand concepts sober me would struggle with. Some are great for working, or reading, or sports, or cooking, or a thousand other things. Some help me to become who I want to be. And some are just awesome.

Also, I like the idea that I am at least partially in control of my neurotransmitters.
 
I do drugs cause they make life easier to live through. I have varying mood levels, sometimes I just feel like total shit and other times I couldn't be happier and both for reasons that are not outside influenced. I smoke weed to bring me 'up' when I'm feeling down. I take Opiates when I can get them cause I enjoy that mellow body high and love the feeling of melting away all my insecurities. Opiates are really something I use to escape life from, while weed I smoke just to enjoy life.

As for my LSD use, I trip cause I love the expansion of thought it gives me. I always come to some conclusions about life when I'm tripping, and those conclusions stay with me forever so to me it's a positive. Not to mention I love going to raves and tripping balls cause, well, who wouldn't want to with all the good vibes and crazy visuals? Not to mention the blending of senses is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Seeing sound in waves of color is unbelievable.
 
I do it to deal with anxiety, mainly useless drugs my doc prescribes or benzos sometimes. There is also an element of depression involved, I smoke and take codeine to escape this somewhat.
 
I'm tweaking my self all the time in one thousand and twenty three ways, and drugs, well they just work, so only a fool or coward, or conservative wouldn't take the advantage.

And it's beautiful too.

I take prescribed opiates and benzos, so i do drugs to help lead a normal life. I do smoke marijuana sometimes for its theraputic (sp?) effects, i do take more than prescribed a lot though lol :)
 
This really isn't BDD material. I checked with the DC mods and it doesn't belong over there so I'm going to close this.
