why do you do drugs?

trippy title i know, too many d's. But yeah, somethin i was thinking about earlier. Why do people do drugs? I know theres lots of reasons and i'd like to find out what some of them are...

Obviously some people have no choice really when physical addiction kicks their asses, but is there anything else other than fear of withdrawals keeping you taking the stuff?

And for everyone else, whats your reasons?

i think everyone have their own reason to do drugs. I think the most common reasons are boredom or escape from reality.

But, the reason i do drugs is to become creative and to get innovative ideas.

...yup. those are pretty much all of the reasons I've ever used drugs.

recreational coke use......turning into abuse......lead into addiction

had i maybe understood the addiction mechanism of coke before i started using.....things would have most likely turned out different

Right now I'm using opiates in order to escape from my emotions and this never ending feeling of apathy and depression. Shit, I wouldn't even call it depression, I just feel nothing and am only cynical. When I am high, this feeling is relieved.
